The Joystiq Indie Pitch: 0 A.D.

Being a giant, beloved video game site has its downsides. 0 A.D., the open-source clone of 'Age of Empires', is finishing its crowdfunding campaign tomorrow

The game is already freely available for download, the development stage is Alpha.

Ensemble devs split, but most ended up at Robot Entertainment. They mostly do small games at the moment. Well mostly because of budget I believe, but they could grow and become something great in the future.
