Top ten rarest video games

One of the biggest regret a gamer has is missing out on one of the biggest hits of the year or never having played a game that was revolutionary (like 007 Golden Eye). At times one can be lucky for a remake or finding that game on eBay. However some games are so good that its hard to find them on eBay and when you do, it’s a battle of wits to out bid the other guy.

Thing is with this list they're using eBay as their scale of "rarity". Although MGS for PC actually is rare now, the other games in this list aren't as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong).

lol! rarity goes by how many copy's were produced. games like stadium events where there were only 2000 copy's produced and 1800 recalled leaving only 200 on the market are worth a lot of money and are hard to find therefore are rare.

Do a quick search on eBay for a poorly rated game like Dark Void, which was released on all systems about six months ago. There are a total of 175 copies of games available spread across Xbox, PS3, and PC....RARER THAN HALO 2!!!! OH MY GOD!!! If this trend continues there won't be any copies left for anyone, ever! Better yet, look up Naughty bear....

bs list. rare games are stuff like air raid, pepsi invaders and nintendo stadium events. the lack of ebay sellers hardly indicates rarity.

it's a list of the "rarest" games, but every single one of those games can be downloaded legally from many different venues.

that is one of the hardest to find games around, at least it is if you only consider good games.
not only are there very few copies, but they also go for outrageous prices.
i tried finding that game when it was new, but back then with no amazon or other online stores to access i didn't have any success.
the worst thing about that game, i know just how good it is because they gave the whole first disc away as a demo with the official magazine, why would they do that then only release a few copies?
somebody at sega must have been stockpiling them, waiting till they became worth a lot of money due to their rarity, well it worked, are you happy now? :(

I'm pretty sure it would be easy to make a list of 10 C64 games that are more rare than even the "rarest" game on his list... and the C64 was pretty darn popular back then. I'm just mentioning it because that's what I grew up with and I obviously have a soft spot for it. There are way more obscure systems with even more rare finds.

The lesson he needs to learn here is that if you're going to write an article about rare and revolutionary games, you seriously need to look further back than the PS/XBOX era. But I guess that would be too much research for him to do and only old fart gamers would really understand and appreciate such an article.

That is to name a few, and remember... Also, a list like this will always have the NES NWC Cartridge at number 1...

I'm pretty sure I used to have the cartridge for Nintendo World, well it's at my parent's house and I wouldn't be surprised if mother actually threw it with most of my old consoles as garbage... never knew it's value would have kept it =/
