Is Gran Turismo 5: Prologue really that much better?
"These two titles have been quite popular over the past few weeks, they have been used countless times when comparing the power of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. And for good reason, these two titles are arguably the best candidates for comparing console power due to the fact that they are of the same genre and are being released within a month of each other.
As an owner of both consoles, I find myself excited for both titles and because of this I think I was able to make a fairly unbiased comparison of the two. I spent quite a bit of time trying to find similar screenshots of both games, and for the most part I was successful in doing do. If you find any faults with my comparisons (Both visual or verbal) please assist me in fixing them. I am aware that this is a touchy subject and will contain some nasty bickering, but I would really appreciate it if we could have a civil debate."
More after jump.
Luke Plunkett of Kotaku writes, "I think we all took the Xbox 360 for granted. Other all-time greats like the SNES and PS2 seem to be remembered more fondly than Microsoft’s console, which tends to be recalled as more of a thing that happened than a platform to be treasured."
A Kotaku writer pining for Xbox's golden years. I'm guessing there will be some good comments here.
“WE”didn’t take it for granted, M$ did.
What happened prior to launch of the One up through current day with their marketing and focus away from games and consumers. The failure of the One has nothing to do with the 360 being great. In fact backward compatibility and the 360 is about all the One had/has going for it. Now M$ is dumping money into fornite articles to try and be seen as more than they are, a company that doesn’t give a damn about its fan boys or products.

free to play no matter how good the game is if it is a free to play i dont play.
i want to pay full price for a full balanced experience unlocks shouldn't be earned by money but by the hard work you put in the game.
my free to play nightmares are borderlands, diablo, titanfall,w arhawk 2,halo and star wars battlefront.
Worst business practices
Paying to play online (PS+, XBL)
Season passes
disc locked content
Paid DLC (DLC should be free unless it is significant enough to be an expansion)
Paying to use your own internet, DLC (all of it, I'd rather have expansion packs with a ton of content), DLC coming out a week after the game's release, incomplete games with missing sections sold as DLC, pre order bonuses, short and pointless campaigns, not having server lists (like COD which insert you into random games and maps), expensive and permanent digital prices, yearly sequels with minor changes at full price, lack of challenging AI, lack of originality, and most of Micro$ofts "business practices." This may sound like a hateful statement, but I blame M$ for bringing most of these things to consoles. I remember when there free and inexpensive map packs on Live in the early years of 2006 and 2007, then they started pinching pennies.
Who else here has been gaming long enough to remember when paying $50 got you the WHOLE game? No left-out content sold as DLC, disc-locked content, season passes, outfits, avatars, etc.
Excuse me, I need to go have a cry at what has happened to my beloved hobby.
Clickonline writes "To many, cars are simply a way of getting from point A to point B. But to gamers they are a way of doing so as quickly as possible, while leaving opponents trailing in your wake. The racing genre’s grid has always been full of fierce competitors. And there’s no indication that this will change any time soon with Gran Turismo 6 taking to the start/finish straight and next-gen exclusives such as Driveclub and The Crew."
both look good
Environments look better in PGR, Cars look better in GT5.
But tbh we havent got alot to go on from GT5. As weve only seen one track. And hardly any gameplay.
but judging from the one comparison of the cars on the track taken from an ariel view, GT doesn't look good, the trees are flat, like something from last gen compared to the shot next to it from PG that shows a variety of different realistic looking trees.
and as far as the pic you provided to compare the cars, i'd give that one to PG too, due to the awesome looking weather effects of droplets of rain on an already very detailed car.
but, i saw the teaser of GT at E3, and yeah, graphically, its gonna blow the competition away.
I want to play with gt5 cars in pgr4 enviroment....can they cooperate?
crap comparison.
