Gamervision reports: "At E3 last month, I was able to spend some time playing EA’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. As I stated in my preview, I had some issues with the gameplay, but was also concerned about the use of the Cruciatus Curse as a standard attack. One of three Unforgivable Curses, the Cruciatus Curse, or Crucio, is used to torture people; if used long enough, it can make them lose consciousness, or even become permanently catatonic or insane. Like the other Unforgivable Curses, Crucio’s effects are devastating, and it is commonly used by Lord Voldemort and his followers, the evil Death Eaters. However, one person who does not commonly use Unforgivable Curses is Harry Potter, and including its use in Deathly Hallows is not only completely out of character, but goes against everything that Harry has always stood for."
No major Harry Potter game has been released since 2011. Are they gone forever or can we expect new ones to return to loyal Harry Potter fans?
Sadly not much. Hopefully they can make some good Harry Potter games. I loved Lego Harry Potter games
Most of them were loosely based on the films. Now that there's no more movies being made for the time being, I don't see a new Harry Potter game releasing anytime soon.
Sorcerer's Stone and Order of the Phoenix were a blast to play because of their explorative nature. Goblet of Fire was another good one too, many good times with the co-op on that one.
They became trash after Chamber of Secrets and Quidditch World Cup. The Lego games were fun though.
EA takes a lot of stick. The company is frequently attacked by outlets across the industry for what is perceived as negative and in some cases manipulative business practices. Whether right, or wrong, this perception has stuck with the company for a long time (they remain the only business in the world to win the coveted Worst Company in America ‘Award’ two years in a row) and based on their treatment of the Harry Potter franchise, it’s easy to see why!
I actually liked the Harry Potter games but all of the games were basically the same thing over and over again. Run through the castle, do tasks, collect stuff. It's typical EA, they don't have many new ideas. They just pick up the rights to make certain games and make the same game over and over again. Look at their sports games.
Also, i have been a big fan of Simpsons games but since EA got the rights to make those games all we have had is a game that come out after the movie and a mobile game. That is crap. I would love another Simpsons game, before EA took over we had loads of them.
The first 2 (And maybe the third one) were alright. After that, they went to the crapper.
You have a world with so much lore. A world filled loveable characters and a thrilling story.
How do you mess it up?
Still remember the PS1 games of Harry Potter , they were totally the best
i also hope to see MOH series back to the PS1 era style
Because we care about our readers, Cheat Code Central has put together a list of games that you should probably avoid. If you pick up one of these titles anyway, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Oh. Yet another list.
Oh... It's another top 10 worst games list...
Heh, modern journalism.
These aren't the worse games around. And as rentals go, Terminator wasn't an atrocious game.
None of these games are even "worthy" of such a list . The underlying issue with such sh*tty list , is that they'll always only refer to somewhat known or popular obvious titles
My problem with DOAX2 was that it put more emphasis on building and maintaining relationships than the sporting activities it supposed to be about. I man, what the .... does relationships have to do with sports especially the individual sports? I'm trying to play sports.
Bomberman: Act Zero? It really broke my heart to see what this once-respected IP devolved into. It made me despise the XBox 360 and the PS3 and its owners and developers for their rabid demand for "realistic" characters/graphics.
I swear this better have not been a spoiler
It isn't a spoiler. The article has some, but not until it says it does.
wtf ea, it looked good but COME ON.
the only "unforgivable curses" here are ones made against sony. :p
lol, let all the death eaters die!!!!
By the way isnt this part of the series suppose to be darker than the others? Let him use the Unforgivable Curses all he wants! Its about time to be honest. This is not a Disney movie you want happy magic go and watch Cinderella or something.
