It was a close race in one of the PS3's best months so far. With all the videogames released each and every month, it can be a difficult task to decide on which title to spend your hard-earned money. Granted, you could always go by our review scores alone and weed through the long list of names to find something that scored high or low, but what if you had somewhere else to turn?
Neil writes: "It's the time of year that many have been holding out for. No, it's not Christmas, it's Black Friday sale time! And this year there are a whole host of brilliant discounts available on a huge range of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games."
I see me spending about $80-100 on this sale. Some good titles in there and surprisingly for me, a lot of BC titles I want to pick up.
i'd rather see actual prices instead of percentages. 😒....at any rate, I'm only interested in hallow knight and it's not on that list so I'll keep waiting.
Great sales...too bad I have AC:Odyssey, Red Dead 2, Hitman 2 to finish, so it wouldn't be prudent to spend anymore money for the backlog...but I am sure I will get at least one game :)
The Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege with Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 bundle for Xbox One has been discounted to $28.99.
Great way to play three old Rainbow Six games. Of course you won't find much if any multiplayer presence but you can at least enjoy the nostalgia.
Major Nelson:
During the holidays, we announced more bundles than we ever have before, delivering an unprecedented number of choices for every gamer. While the holidays are now behind us, we’re excited to ring in the New Year with even more value and choice for our fans to experience the greatest games lineup in Xbox history well into 2016. Today we’re announcing two new Xbox One bundles: the Xbox One Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Bundle and the Xbox One 500GB Name Your Game Bundle.
A 1 TB XBO with 2 controllers, and Ori, Sunset Overdrive, and Forza Horizon 2 (or Forza 6) would probably convince me to buy one, cause those are the games I'm most interested in on playing on the XBO.
That said, I think for now I'll wait for what Nintendo will be announcing about their NX console, and might get that as my 2nd current-gen console instead.
I have to say that 2nd bundle 500g with Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition or Rare Replay is a pretty great bundle @$349.
Damn, these are some nice bundles! I have a PS4 but would love to have a X1 as well, might just have to do it!
What did they get exclusive? Both the Darkness and Rainbow six where at the end of the month and neither was exclusive.
well it was better than the past 2 months before it...rather get some good multiplatform games...than nothing...
and R6 Vegas is pretty good...I would never give it a 9 on the ps3 though...the lobby system for online is absolutely horrid...to the point where some times its just not worth playing (keep finding a match and the creater has no idea what he is doing...so he dumps the server by accident...happen 6 times in a row saturday night)...
but other than that the single player is really fun...and the co-op stuff...the voice acting is about as cheesy as ever...and the story is just an excuse to kill a bunch of terrorists...but its worth playing...I wish it had some better online options though...I will pretty much be giving Vegas away once Warhawk is released...
Wow. This is huge! The PS3 has a GOTM from one website. Don't get used to it, PS3 owners. Get ready for a holiday onslaught from Microsoft.
exclusive or not, what does it matter?
the fact that the PS3 *HAD some games to play at all makes me one happy PS3 owner.
people seem to have this misconception that *EVERYONE owns a 360, and have therefore played all of these games ages ago, on the 360.
i do *NOT, own a 360, however, so when i see games like Oblivion, Rainbow Six Vegas, and The Darkness appearing on the PS3, i'm glad.
i know the exclusives are on their way (Ninja Gaiden Sigma being one of the first big ones, Lair, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet, Folklore, and Uncharted all hitting in the next few months), so some quality multi-plat games are always welcome for me.
i just want to play good games. i don't care if they're exclusive, though i do *PREFER exclusives, as they tend to maximize the hardware when done right (such as the exclusives i listed above).
For me, Super Stardust is the best game for June. Its so addicting and so much fun. Vegas was already released on 360 and PC.
