Where is all the Space?

From the dawn of time, it has captured our imagination. As far back when we were just learning to walk upright to get our knuckles off the ground, flinging spitballs to let the girl in our class know we are into her, and make Geico commercials, we were scribbling pictures of constellations on cave walls. Every civilization from the ancients to now, point upward and say,”My god is up there.”

How could they not, with no electricity or lights beyond fire, the night sky would be dark and the stars will be bright. At night they would look up and their familiar friends would be in their places scattered about the sky. The stars would be used to help ancient mariners transverse the oceans and seas, while they fished and looked for villages to rape and plunder. Every once in awhile they would look up and see something move in the sky and with a little imagination and story telling Sci-fi was born. From the beginnings of media entertainment space and sci-fi has played a big part.

I'd definitely like to see some more space games, particularly space sims/traders. Love those games. Dark Star One is appearing on the 360 soon, might have to grab that.

I'd like to see Starhawk for PS3 taking full advantage of the hardware. I want to see all 50gb used up with a couple lightyears of open space. I want to see asteroids, other spaceships, planets to visit, the sun, etc. etc. It would be so awesome to just fly around and blowing stuff up in space and visiting and exploring planets. They could take the Burnout model and keep expanding the game with new planets, aliens, etc. I deserve a check for this great idea. lol :)

Im still playing freelancer and the old X-Wing games.. I want something new.

the space environment that was shown on the reach campaign space battle was beautiful...i would definitely want to see more next gen space games

That's another reason why MS pissed me off they should have let their conference end with that, Halo wasn't given enough space (no pun intended) but I had a "whoa" moment when I seen that.

There are very few Space Video games out there, sure we have Dead Space, Halo Reach, Ratchet and Clank, Mass Effect uh someone give me something else please. I would like to see Rockstar to a take on a Space game ooooo or Naughty Dog. Okay I think I better stop before I get myself excited only to be sad But Rockstar, Naughty Dog look into that.

I would like to see more space games. I would like to see a new Colony Wars game.

I think it would be cool to see some one make a game that shows the beginning of space flight. Like how man made spaceships it could be really interesting to see a game like that. If a new Space games does not be realistic I still think it would be cool to see how developers would handle a space game.

as soon as I saw the title....Colony Wars. There are people here that are probably too young to even know about the series. But, they were really fun games with pretty good story arcs as well. It just seems like people are not interested as much in fantasy worlds. People want "realism"...whatever that means. For me, give me space...give me fantasy...good characters...good story...something that I can't just learn about on the internet. (like modern warfare!?!?! game was decent...but it's kinda same war different day at this point.)
