Donkey Kong Country Returns day one?
I'm with the "wait and see" approach right now.

Dramscus5074d ago (Edited 5074d ago )

I wish nintendo would stop recycling it's games and come up with something new.

Who over there is sitting at the conference table and saying hey lets remake snes games but with better graphics.
Then everybody else at the table is like hey yeah that's safe and people are tools so they'll totally buy it. Needs to be beat with a wrench.
Nostalgia sells I guess.

Nintendo = one trick pony.

I'm not saying the games aren't good I'm just saying nintendo has poor business strategy when it comes to making games.

I was hoping for a NEW IP, in the FPS genre from Nintendo at E3.
Not Goldeneye or Conduit 2, but a First Party FPS game that is new.

Nintendo hasn't developed/published its own FPS game with fully customizable controls or WM+.

It’s The Perfect Time For A New Donkey Kong Country

Screen Rant Writes "It's been almost a decade since players have seen a new Donkey Kong Country game, but with the opening of Super Nintendo World, now is the perfect time to release a new DKC game. The last entry was 2014's Tropical Freeze (a slightly enhanced version was re-released for the Switch in 2018), which received rave reviews and between its Wii U and Switch sales, performed very well. The original Donkey Kong Country also spotlighted environmental themes, which would prove to be just as salient if a new entry were to release in the coming years."

Super Mario Bros first please. Plus we still need a current gen Mario Kart.

Number1TailzFan489d ago

Mario Kart will probably be the same rehashed gameplay minus Mission Mode again.

We need a new Diddy Kong Racing.

I would love to see another Double Dash game.

It’s always the perfect time for DKC

No its a perfect time for another 3D Donkey Kong. I dont want 2D anything.

Snookies12489d ago (Edited 489d ago )

I'm halfway agreeing with you on that, lol... 2D is still a fantastic route for Donkey Kong Country to go with. Yet, I still love Donkey Kong 64 to this day, and play it through every so often. I absolutely want a new 3D Donkey Kong game in a similar style. Loved going back through levels with different characters that had unique gameplay aspects. A sequel to DK64 would be the perfect announcement, in my opinion.

Chocoburger489d ago (Edited 489d ago )

I always think about a possible 3D Donkey Kong game, but nothing like DK64, more of a faster paced linear platforming game. Less focus on collectibles, and more focusing on fast platforming action. That'd be amazing for me.

We need more 3D stuff, the side scrollers start to all blend together eventually. The last Kirby game was great and refreshing because they moved to 3D.

Video Chums Donkey Kong Country 3: An Epic End to a Trilogy

"Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble is an extremely fun and underrated Donkey Kong game and it's also the final game in the SNES Donkey Kong Country trilogy that was developed by Rare." - Alex Legard from Video Chums

Never played it as much as the first 2 but still a great game.

Personally was my fav of the 3, wasn't a big fan of 2 because it always felt like a fangame with it's level design etc. Glad to see this getting love. Outside Baby Kong I didn't have any issues with the game
