IGN: Flametail Review

IGN writes: "Flametail is an inventive and addictive little puzzler with a science-fiction spin on a pro-environment message. Its story presents a future where mankind has not only filled the Earth with garbage, but also most of the surrounding planets -- and you control the Flametail pod, an interstellar spacecraft equipped to travel through the solar system and burn up all the refuse, piece by piece, using its signature flaming tail".

Kotaku: Flametail Review: Space Burn

The good and bad of Flametail is that you may already own it. It was released in simpler form as one third of Maboshi's Arcade, a WiiWare game from a couple of years back. Good thing that was obscure too! But is it worth the expense of a $5 game locked to your DSi? It has a lot of levels presented as both a linear "Space Tour" rush through various planet-themed stages as well as a variety of time-limited side games involving special layouts and power-ups. Flametail has a good mechanic, a nice helping of content and even some fun sound effects. It's good, if you don't mind that it's a riff on Snake you may already own.

Oh, and it's (obviously) portable too, which is a great place for a puzzler to be.
