Harmonix' Dance Central Could Come to PS3, But Not Wii

... (if true), is NOT the Dance Central game itself BUT how Harmonix have effectively debunked the myth that Wii can do everything that the Move can.

Some detractors can't seem to accept that the PS Move has a camera and can do Augmented reality.

The same detractors that can't see ANY similarity between a camera from a previous gen's console and the supposedly revolutionary one of this generation.

you realise ps3 has a camera? Since all Dance Central does is track your outline, i think the pseye can handle it without move :)

and dont have that much info on Kinect or the Camera that Sony is useing with Move.

With this being ported does that mean that this game does not use full body 3D tracking - from what I been hearing is that the PS3 camera cant do fully body 3d tracking (correct me if I am wrong).

PS-EYE can not track the body in 3D. They did mention using the move. But they didn't say how many moves would be needed

That would hurt Kinect bad. Why buy $150 camera to play the game with your 360 when you can buy a $50 one your PS3 and get the same game.

If this did happen, then it would get people asking the question again, "What does Kinect do that the PSEye doesn't do?"

Why someone want to buy a Kinect for $150 and then a game for $60, when it's all for free?

Dancing is an activity that is accsessible for everyone in everyday life without any additional means but music. You don't even have to go somewhere to dance.

Shooting or driving a GT car, or running the wall is a complete different story.

Shoot people isn't something you can do in an average life.
But you shurely can dance without paying more than 200 bucks. ))) .
You can't shoot guns at your house, but you definately can dance in your house. It's true, I just checked - I can dance without a camera and a game. You cannot join the army and stay at home.

How can you disagree? Can't you even dance without a game? If you can't - the game won't help, you know.

Wouldn't be the same experience, holding a controller while playing would just give a Just Dance experience and the PSEye can't track in 3D without the controller so the game would be quite fail without kinect

I agree with slimy the g8ter this game doesn't look like it needs the 3D tracking, so PS Eye alone would be totally fine.

You obviously haven't heard of level curves. Read about them and you'll learn how to examine 3D surfaces in 2D. Oil companies invest millions of dollars based on level curves alone.

...there goes the sole reason I was even considering Kinect. All the haters here can bag on the game any way they like, but fact remains that Harmonix is a master of their craft. They have been fine tuning the rhythm genre into an art form for well over 10 years.

I played this at the show and it was the only accurate and, more importantly, FUN Kinect game. To see this as a possibility on my platform of choice certainly brightens my day. PSeye can head track and with the Move it can even overlay skeletal systems to track the body (as seen in Richard Marks' demo).

A lot of hate for this game in this thread. I actually liked the E3 demo of it. The only Kinect game I liked actually. (the forza car model thing impressed me but not something I'm interested)

A dancing game meh!!!!!! I rather go to a nightclub and do it that way is cheaper and makes no sense for these dancing games. Now as far as shooting guns in real life here in the U.S. is possible but you need a license and shooting real life people or animals is totally different from a videogame. Joining the Army is free yes but you need to pass several tests in order to join. So there are videogames that you can't do in real life okay but a dancing game is not one of them
