This is pathetic, at least you don't have to buy the 60$ version since the whole experience is in the demo. And all around me are PS3 fans making excuses for the game before anyone even bashes, because you know.
Hack, slash, hack, slash. This game has nothing more to it than what you get in the demo. Yeah he was button pushing so much the camera was shaking. You can beat the demo in 5 minutes or less if you know what you're doing. Block, counter, mid-air combos, stab downed enemies on the ground, and superstyle after the column falls down. I was thinking not being able to jump was stupid, but it makes you use your other moves more and use your special moves...not complaining on that part

i think it is because u didnt utilize the stance and combo moves. If you are killing one enemy at the time, yeah it will damn repetitive.

games like this are all about the player, and how good you get with the combat system. God of war and ninja gaiden would probably look pretty uninspired too if you only used the standard weapon combos with no tactical or special moves too.

Use the aerial combos - they rock. Use all the stances, if you get surrounded use the range stance - if there's lots of guys with sheilds use the power stance - mess around, pick bodies up - use special moves. There's like 50 combos, and mix them up with the stances - infinite fun.

"...and it was good." Wow, I've been waiting for what seems like forever to get my hands on this demo! I'm blown away. I musta played through around six or seven times already. Sure the action is a little repetitive, but keep in mind, this is about five minutes worth of action. They've already showed and talked about in numerous videos and interviews that there will be various mission structures (like defending a base with a cannon) and a second playable character, Kai, that acts very differently than Nariko. Plus, the combat system is extremely deep and offers just enough of a twist on the normal formula to separate itself from games like God of War and Ninja Gaiden. And with production values off the chart and a story that's sure to match -- I seriously cannot wait to get this game!

this game is holy fvckin amazing. animations look movie-like and the fighting system is one of the best i've ever seen - even better than God Of War - and that is without all the combos that you'll have in the final version of the game.

everybody who says this game doesn't look good is obviously a fanboy or he doesn't like these kind of games from the start. for me, this is one of the first, true next-gen experiences, besides Gears, Motorstorm and GT HD (graphics wise).

Bring it on NT ... can't wait to play the game.

I honestly think if you are going to try and video your own gameplay try not to use a 25" crappy TV and suck at the game you are playing lol. Much much better releases on Youtube already if you want to see a better vid.

i just played the demo and it seems to have more depth in gameplay than god of war... however i wish you could jump and stuff... that technical aspect of god of war seemed to break the manotany of the game up... however the actual moves and stuff for HS are better in my opinion. This game looks fantastic, nobody can deny that. I cant wait for september.

didn't get what is truely to come.

i seem to remember the devs saying another team was making the demo while the main devs finished the game.but the demo is already an indicator of "awsomeness."

for those saying it's repetitive,did you play with the bazooka and commit "massive damage?"

did you play with the cannon as the opposing forces came charging towards the palace or fort?

did you play as nariko's sister as she snipered enemies from afar.

if you're judging this game on just a 10 minute tease,and button mashed your way through thinking it was god of war,then this game.....ISN'T FOR YOU.

i can see some people not liking this game just like some didn't like ninja gaiden,DMC,way of the samurai,bujingai,blood will tell,castlevania:LOI,etc.

but there are gamers that see this game will smoke come september.

This is a hack and slash game no matter how you cut. Every system starts of with one. Ain't no stances in the world will change that.
Oddly enough the character models in the beggining don't look as impresive as before. Anyways this is only going to be a rental at best.

I play it though if i own a PS3.

you HAVE to play it, watching this video isn't going to change your mind, PLAY it. You can't play it like God of War or else you'll get your ass kicked. You have to pay attention to every enemy and every stance and block and counter everything the right way or else you'll sound like the guy in the video, "hehe i'm about to die". If you think this is a hack n slash, i guess you also think games like virtua fighter, dead or alive, and tekken are push-button fighting games. You CAN just push buttons but that doesn't mean you're supposed to do that and it takes all the fun out of the game...
