Medal Of Honor BETA Gameplay

my second post of some medal of honor gameplay. Enjoy

captain-obvious5070d ago

im buying this game but it needs allot of tweaks
first of all the animations needs to be re-worked they look like there were made by a non experienced developer

look at the animations at BF:BC2 they look just like real people moving but in this game something feels wrong with their movement

then they need to add a kill cam
and change the interfaces ALL of them
and there has been unbalancing issues from what I've heard
and they need to tone down the BF:BC2-ish feel , I know that they are trying to mix MW2 with BF:BC2 which is nice and sounds good but it feels A LOT like BF:BC2

and there is allot of things but those that comes up to my mind now

yah one last thing
consoles versions should have dedicated servers too
that's a very important thing

tdrules5069d ago

lul it has exactly the same animations of BFBC2 in some parts
"console versions should have dedicated servers"- they do in the form of EA's servers.
not as good as community dedi servers but better than P2P

blackbeld5069d ago

No perks like MW2 no buy for me :(

dalibor5069d ago

Be careful what you ask for or it might just come back to bite you. Haven't we learned anything from MW2? I know I hated getting shanked from 10ft. Damn commandos running everywhere just knife knife knife. You do not need perks to have a fun game. And knifing should be a hard thing to do in games as is in real life especially when everyone has weapons. A knife would be the last thing I would use.

badz1495069d ago (Edited 5069d ago )

go away NOOB! you want perks, play MW2!

Hideo_Kojima5069d ago (Edited 5069d ago )

@badz that is what he said himself...
he said he will carry on with mw2 because it has perks.

But I wouldn't want EVERY fps to have perks they are unrealistic.

maybe a little more but i hope dice doesnt go recoil crazy like bad company 2

The_Firestarter5069d ago (Edited 5069d ago )

I live to play shooters with some heavy recoil. It's responsive and feel great to be in firefights.

I simply cannot stand FPS games with little to no recoil. It just feels bad and make the gun feel super weak.

Playing a FPS with little recoil is like playing an FPS without rumble. Try firing off a 30 Cal machine gun in-game w/o rumble. It just feels...wrong.

sak5005069d ago

I agree with the_firestarter, games where there is no recoil feel like you're playing with air guns. Comeon it shud not be easy to just lift the gun and empty a clip 100 yards away all hitting in the same spot.

I'm liking this game due to DICE's involvement but would rather pick up and play BF:Vietnam as that was one of my fav games from yester-years.

Dave13515069d ago

no bad company 1 assault rifles had PERFECT recoil then they totally butchered it in bad company 2. either way i want this game to be its own and not copy bad company

vhero5069d ago

All PSN Plus members are getting invited to the BETA thats the new info going around right now..

ZootHornRollo5069d ago

this game is 100% BFBC2 in every way. they didnt change a thing. played BFBC2 then played this. the only thing that makes them two different games is the map size and name. other than that this isnt moh. im really sad they couldnt just make an moh engine. sad day for moh fans. and to say other wise means you never played MOHAA or MOHSH

embop5069d ago

It looks like a cross between bfbc2 and cod, Is it anything like cod?

P1NKY5069d ago

From what ive heard, some of the developers from Infinity Ward came over and helped out with the Multiplayer. May be the reason why parts are very similar to MW2.

tdrules5069d ago

classic.
are you that anonymous source rubbish gaming sites use to start rumours?

P1NKY5068d ago (Edited 5068d ago )

I remember reading somewhere a month back about some of the Infinty Ward devs going to MOH. Because it was a month back I cant remember where I read it. Now I dont know whether the site I originally read this on was talking bull. Im just saying what I read. What I do know is that is was in one of the articles on N4G. And im not going to spend hours looking through previous posts just to give you a source. Im not a journalist. People are allowed to give out information without having to state every single little source from where it came from.

If you had any common sense you would see that the look and feel of the MOH multiplayer looks similar to MW2.

Give me a break.

ivant5069d ago

The urban combat seems a lot more fun than MW...especially not as confined.

ZootHornRollo5069d ago

its nothing like cod its just BFBC2 in smaller maps and 2 tanks.

ddurand15069d ago

modern guns dont have THAT much recoil anymore.

evrfighter5069d ago (Edited 5069d ago )

AK is hardly modern. How hard is it to get recoil down though.

CS and BF2 AK had it spot on. First shot was pinpoint accurate the rest that followed were not.

M16/M4 first 3 shots (cs) were fairly accurate (bf2 had 3 round burst). everything that followed started trailing off.

It's the perfect combination for side based weapons. An extremely powerful assault rifle with lotta recoil with a laser like first shot. A powerful assault rifle that'll hit really close to dead center of crosshair if fired in bursts.

The game itself however is a good alternative to mw2 if you're no longer interested in Activision. However there's nothing original about it. I like that valley map. Felt RTCW: ET like. I'm gonna keep my pre-order in hopes they do tweak for the better. The game seems like it's gonna be worth the $29.99 I paid for it.

I definitely would not pre-order it for $60 though.

cyborg69715069d ago

You have not fired a modern weapon in your life if you can make such a blind statement as that.

ddurand15069d ago

because you know me, right?

cyborg69715069d ago

@ddurand1

Reading the comment you posted can give anyone who has fired a modern weapon, be it full auto, semi, bolt, or single action, the insight that you have not fired any weapon. And that is what I commented on. Not your "life style", nor your favorite beverage. Just the fact that every weapon has recoil. It doesn't matter how strong you are or if your left or right handed. What matters in the field is your weapon has to become an extension of you. That is when you can compesate the recoil.

ddurand15069d ago (Edited 5069d ago )

i didnt say there was no recoil. I said there was not that much. And i have fired more than three assault rifles.

AK47 being the one with the most recoil.
M4 having the least
AR15 being in the middle of the two.

Remembering Medal Of Honor: The Forgotten Master Of WW2 Games

Ibrahim from eXputer: "The Medal of Honor franchise was once the crown jewel of FPS war games, later defeated by the tides of time and poor development."

banger8814d ago

They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.

FPS_D3TH13d ago

Was literally just thinking of this game the other week with the secret nut cracker mission and the shooting Bismarck dog lmao. Loved these games as a kid

PrecursorOrb13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

I wish they’d remake warfighter

Strictly for the campaign

The_Hooligan13d ago

I have fond memories of playing the Medal of Honor Breakthrough MP Demo. It had two maps and custom servers. Living on campus, I had it downloaded on one of the PC Lab servers so I could access it on any computer at the university. Joined a clan and made friends that I still keep in touch with today.

Medal of Honor 2010 was a good start for a modern reboot. The campaign was fantastic. Multiplayer wasn't great but that's DICE's fault. I'd love if they went back to that game and gave it a proper sequel.

SlothLordPootus509d ago

I actually really liked the multiplayer in MoH 2010. Battlefield gunplay on small maps. I would love to see a Rising sun remake, the opening scene would be amazing to see.

SonyStyled509d ago

I enjoyed the multiplayer of MoH 2010. It felt like battlefield 3 in a way. The multiplayer in Warfighter was also pretty good but the campaigns single player story was not appealing with the whole family cutscene thing. Gameplay was fun though. MoH to me is the PS1/2 titles and I don’t expect to see a WW2 MoH after the last Call of Duty’s

Levii_92509d ago

PS1 MOH 1999 and 2000 (Underground) and Allied Assault PC is my childhood.. it's still soo good and it holds up. Not to mention Michael Giacchino's soundtrack is one of the best video game soundtracks ever made. Even if you weren't born in early to mid 90's go listen to the main theme of Allied Assault and you will be overloaded from nostalgia.

I miss this franchise a lot.

Iceball2000509d ago

I’ve always thought that MOH and Battlefield should be separate…

Have MOH as the full fledged single player with an amazing store and whatnot. And a basic multiplayer just to have multiplayer. Sorta like how the MOH reboot was.

And then have BF as the full fledged multiplayer with all effort put into that and ditch the single player. Maybe add Commander back in.

Only in a perfect world.

HeliosHex509d ago (Edited 509d ago )

Oh man medal of honor on pc was awesome back in the day. Multi-player was fun. Joined my first clan on medal of honor. Definitely deserves a comeback. But needs to be on the same level or surpass COD. Since it came out before that ip in 1999 to avoid embarrassment.

FGHFGHFGH509d ago

The guys who did Allied assault are the one who created call of duty. They're back at EA, Vince something

MadLad509d ago

I'll be the weird guy in the room and say I actually loved Warfighter. I thought the squad mechanics made it stand out a bit and thought the shooting felt good. Put a lot of time into the multiplayer.
