OT: Ill have to rely on people who experiencede 3D gaming before giving a judgement. I feel that 3D gaming has tons of potential and is a great way for immersion in a game. One of the flaws would be the very high price to obtain this technology..

Capture historic moments in 3D!

3D video chat on your cellphones/computers/consoles.

I played Unreal Tournament 2003 a long time ago in 3D on the PC. And that was with glasses and an old 17 inch CRT monitor. I can say that even back then the Nvidia tech was amazing. I landed my jumps better, I didn't get stuck on objects/door frames as much. It just makes playing FPSers that much better by giving you a better sense of depth. I can't wait to see how well this new tech works!!!

is a no-brainer. It will be way better than "2D" and no one will want to go back.
They will have to take the stupid headgear out of the equation though, before I join the crowd.

yeah it might not be new but it it is making a big come back. just about every movie is 3d including the biggest movie in history avatar, there are lots of games now adding 3D and all the ads i see about tvs are 3D tv ads now. 3D is the future people just have to accept that or be left behind.

tv's are actually getting pretty fing cheap. I remember as a kid, we bought a 26" with a wooden encasment, like furniture, for a grand. Hell we bought a $400 VCR and they threw in a mountain bike.. those were good times.

I've seen it and trust me anyone who say it sucks either haven't seen it, are resistant to change, or get headaches when they use it.

Today for the first time I saw a 3D display at Best Buy (got my 360). It was better than I ever imagined! Too bad the TV i saw was over $6000 :(

Look into something like the ASUS PG276H HD 3D LCD Monitor. Should be around 599 went it drops. No need to spend 3k on a gaming tv.

ISn't that monitor only 120 hz? All the 3d tvs are 240 hz. Can you use that monitor with the PS3? I am so confused.

Either way you won't need to spend $3,000 for a 3d tv even now. Samsung has the 40inch led 1080p 3d tv for about $1500. That will drop very shortly. Those complaining about price need to put things into perspective. This is new tech just released and is already cheaper than HDTVs when they first release.

I am going to work part time as a male stripper and beg my wife to let me buy another tv even though I have two hdtv at home already and no where to put this 3rd one! LOL!

In fact I think Sony should give us all free 3D TVs & glasses, so Sony if you could please, I'm sure we all would quite happily playtest all you 3D games & give you worthwhile proffesional feedback (yes I'm from the planet of wishful thinking LoL)
