Serjikal_Strike5083d ago

wow those look great...

oh man oh man...cant wait for this game

ico925083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

i dont mean to sound like a graphics whore but WOW Infamous 2 looks amazing

Anarki5083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

Dare I say it.... better than uncharted 2? I mean... c'mon... the game is in development... so it must be pre alpha or something..

NeoBasch5083d ago

Words can't describe the graphic fidelity inFamous 2 show here. If they can keep this up, I have no doubt in my mind Sucker Punch will be able to rival Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2. For a sandbox game, this is GODLY!

Taarec10ToTheEnd5083d ago

Yeah I was very surprised, and they still have a year left to polish and add more textures and what not.

RageAgainstTheMShine5083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

Now that's what I call graphics!

There's a new graphics king in town, Uncharted 2.

Very huge improvement over inFamous!

Only on PS3 baby!

MitchGE5083d ago

The texture quality and character models are on par with Uncharted 2 and God Of War III. Very impressive.

sikbeta5083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

Infamous 2 Looks Awesome, I can't wait to Play it, I want to try the New Powers, Cole is Overpowering himself Up so Damn Much...

secksi-killer5083d ago

then that looks incredible. i enjoyed the first and will definately buy the second. but i am a bit dubious of those shots!!

Sharingan_no_Kakashi5083d ago

I gotta say I enjoyed infamous more than UC2 and these screens do look fantastic but UC2 looks better. Infamous is a sandbox for cryin out loud.

Aikuchi5083d ago

So is it still Zeke and Cole, or is it a different Zeke and Cole? That was never made clear to me in any interview, from waht i got it mite be total different from the first?

When they released inFamous trailers awhile back & supported it with "All footage are in-game" + KICK ASS music, I was sold.

I'm glad inFamous got critical acclaimed & good sales.

+

It's competition with Prototype actually makes inFamous... Famous. ;D

^^^

Okay that was bad, sorry. XD

raztad5083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

"t's competition with Prototype actually makes inFamous... Famous. ;D"

I'd say it's the other way around. Nobody cared about Prototype until people starting comparing with inFAMOUS. Last year was crazy with the comparisons.

OT: Wow, what an upgrade. Game looks awesome.

sikbeta5083d ago

Yep and Then we know How Everything ended, infamous Over the TOP being Awesome and Prototype, Pffft...

sonarus5083d ago

Graphics looking great noticable improvement from infamous 1. Perhaps they can expand the game with some kind of multiplayer intergration, perhaps some kind of online coop

BiggCMan5083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

no...this does not need a multiplayer counterpart. leave it as is.

SuperStrokey11235083d ago

Definately no need for mp on this game, doesnt suit it at all. Only thing i can think of is prehaps some kind of coop but certainly not more than 1 player.

ABizzel15083d ago

@Sonarus

Agreed. Better missions, and some sort of online would be great. They could have online where you play as the gangs battleing over areas. That would be awesome. And instead of capture the flag they could have Capture the Cole lol.

@ BiggCMan

People enjoy playing games online. It adds to the longevity, and the best example of single player games benefitting from online is Uncharted 2. The single player is rated as one of the best EVER, and adding multiplayer only made it a more versitale game. Have faith.

NoBias5083d ago

Sony just earned another $59.99 from me. Damnit.

Stinkinmushroom5083d ago

these screens actually look really awesome :o

BubZ-SkullY5083d ago

another strong contender for goty in 2011

Kain815083d ago

HOLY $HIT

INFAMOUS LOOKS INCREDIBLE

COMPETITION SUCKER PUNCHED

Kain815083d ago

BTW is InFamous 2 still a OpenWorld-/Sandbox- Game, if it is than this is really MIND BLOWING, It would be the best looking Sandbox game to date

bjornbear5083d ago

and if im not mistaken i remember them mentioning more diverse than empire city AND bigger, but can't confirm.

shadow27975083d ago

I'd say it's rather obvious, but to answer your question, yes it is still a Sandbox game.

Persistantthug5083d ago

What I want this time is an online component.

Can't wait to see what Sucker Punch delivers.

FACTUAL evidence5083d ago

Those are UC2 level graphics if not better. Watch me get tons of disagrees from the UC2 fanboys.

Consoldtobots5083d ago

can we say: dynamic rendering pipelines FTW?

T9X695083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

I played the demo and it was pretty fun, but everyone seams to love it. What was so good about it that wasn't in the demo because I might go pick it up, not sure yet.

lol @ who ever disagreed for asking a question.

EDIT: Thanks for the replies, I think I might go pick it up :)

OmarJA-N4G5083d ago

Buy it you won't regret it, the demo didn't do any justice to the game.

Beside it's cheap & has a great replay value.

T9X695083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

Yea that's why I was thinking of picking it up since its like $25 bucks, plus Gamestop has a buy 2 used games get 1 free, so its a good time to pick up a few cheap games.

EDIT: @itch18 - I played the demo when I first got my PS3 and it was $60 and didn't want to spend a lot since I bought like 4 other PS3 exclusives lol

Why o why5083d ago (Edited 5083d ago )

and wanna get the most out of it do the good arc first. That way you can be more reckless when completing the game the second time around as the evil cole thus completing the game a lot quicker.

The game was real cool. Some repetitive side missions and sewer missions but definitely worth a purchase. One of my few platinum's

Trollimite5083d ago

they gave you all the powers. but you had to get them in the real game. and the story was more immersive, the ending was perfect.

but over all i think it was abillity to do whatever you wanted.

Cloudberry5083d ago

I've played it.

In the full game, you could expand your powers into 2.

As a Hero / Infamous.

Both of them have their own unique powers.

You could also choose your own Karma events which leads you into a good / a bad guy.

The story is interesting + plot twist.

If you still not sure, I could recommend you to rent it first.

Serjikal_Strike5083d ago

you wont regret the purchase....i got my platinum and still have my copy, dont plan on trading it either...lol

itchy185083d ago

it up!!!! you said the demo was pretty fun, then why don't you buy it and see it yourself? the game was really great!

jack_burt0n5083d ago

For me apathy kicks in with open world games even things like red dead, infamous for me had the perfect balance between freedom and quite a linear path I never lost interest in what was going on everything was always at arms length and if there was A-B repetition it was always fun because of how the climbing mechanic worked.

Like most of the big ps3 exclusives recently the game has been playtested to death which makes it so so playable just like uncharted and ratchet.

AAA title.

Sony is killing the competition with these AAA titles.

inFamous 3: We Want A Second Son Sequel

Fans of the action-adventure franchise have been eagerly awaiting news of a potential sequel to one of the best games on the PS4.

I want it too. Make it co-op as well.

-Foxtrot360d ago

Yeah they had a lightning bolt in the shape of a question mark at the end of Infamous 2

They always went off the good ending for Cole so I think for Delsin it should be the bad ending

What he did in the bad ending, absorbing everyone’s powers, seemed like he was going to turn into something powerful.

Makes you feel like he could have been the real Beast and John was just an anomaly because of them messing with time

Sets up a Cole vs Delsin showdown

potatoseal360d ago

How would fans feel about a reboot? You know to bring a new audience in? Not a good idea? Good idea?

anast359d ago

Not a god idea. They let it sit for too long and the game hasn't been strong enough to carry itself all these years. There is so much other stuff out there right now.

masterfox360d ago

Second Son was released in 2014 was an amazing game visually and gameplay wise, sometimes I play it again on the PS5 and seeing it run at 60 fps is something to behold(yes an almost 10 year old game), if you haven't done that on your PS5 try it you won't be disappointed, pure eye candy, a PS5 exclusive of Infamous would be amazing no doubt.

gold_drake360d ago

meh, i want Cole to come back.

or maybe a reboot. with cole.

Older PlayStation games that we'd love to see on the PlayStation 5

From Xfire: "For a company with a three-decade-long history in gaming, Sony has done a crappy job at preserving its legacy. "

Flawlessmic750d ago (Edited 750d ago )

All the mgs games, all the ape escapes, silent hill 1-4, croc 1 and 2, legend of dragoon, tekken 3,tenshu, bushido blade, vagrant story, okami, ico, crash bash, gt4.

Thats just off the top of my head that i would play immediately, still so many more though that id love.

Welshy750d ago

MGS, Silent Hill etc are no brainers, but you earned my thumbs up for our boi Croc. I talk about him all the time, it's an honour to find another man of culture.

Flawlessmic749d ago (Edited 749d ago )

Hahaha yea was one of my very first games i owned on ps1 as a child, great memories!!

Love to hear there other people out there that enjoyed the gem of a game that is croc 👌

RedDevils749d ago (Edited 749d ago )

Okami has HD version already. I want those Sly games though since PS3 and vita had it.

Flawlessmic749d ago

Yea sly would be cool, i never got into those so would be a good opportunity for me to do so.

But yea theres so many games in sony catalogue we coukd be here all day listing titles.

Hopefully we all get the ganes we are hoping for.

outsider1624750d ago

Tenchu 1 and 2
Socom 1 and 2

seanpitt23750d ago

Luc20750d ago

If the PC can emulate the PS3, then for sure the PS5 would be able to do same. but dose Sony want it?

Mr Logic1413d ago

If there was money in it, then Sony would do it. People can bitch and moan all they want, but even if every person on this site used BC, that would still be a tiny fraction of gamers. Almost nobody really uses BC.

DethWish1413d ago (Edited 1413d ago )

I think there would be money if they made PS3 games downloadable through PSNow and added a bunch more.
Edit: I would get it if MGS4 was available

Mr Logic1413d ago

@DethWish

That would be an emulator. You're not making any sense.

DethWish1413d ago

Mr Logic, really? If PS5 could emulate PS3 games (BC) and PSNow would let you download and play PS3 games locally instead of streaming (like it lets you download PS4 games), wouldn't that be awesome? PSNow has some really interesting PS3 games, but I'd prefer to play them locally

MadLad1413d ago

Really?
Remasters of popular games do extremely well. MS basically hands them out for free. If people didn't want to play older games, then why do remasters sell so well?

+ Show (1) more replyLast reply 1413d ago
anonymousfan1413d ago

I honestly would probably never ever use it... But I still think it would be pretty neat. Its one of the few avantages PC still has on console that is complete backwards compatibility. But for all the work needed to implement this I doubt it would be worth Sony's time.

Melankolis1413d ago

In my opinion.
The difference is independent emulator developer can build any emulator as an experiment that will be perfected for years, maybe more than 10 years. During that time, expect many glitch, bugs, and updates. They can do that because they do not have any obligation towards PC users or whatsoever.

Fos Sony, once they announce PS5 will be able to play PS3 games, they have to make it safe and playable for users. They do not want the emulator cause bricks, glitch, heating up or anything to the consoles and get sued for that.

Harkins17211412d ago

The amount of work it would require sony for each game probably isn't worth it. Maybe after rpcs3 is done they can patent it and use it. That's the dream lol

EazyC1413d ago

Wish I never sold my PS3 for MGS IV alone, I'm dying to play it again

Gamerking821413d ago (Edited 1413d ago )

Any ps3 owner has too own this masterpiece . My disk drive has just gone on my old super slim . So I bought the digital version no questions ask . If you have a ps3 own this masterpiece that’s all I can say . I replay it every year and still find loads of enjoyment . The last true metal gear in my opinion . V was good and gameplay amazing , but it’s just not a metal gear quality story wise .
