Words can't describe the graphic fidelity inFamous 2 show here. If they can keep this up, I have no doubt in my mind Sucker Punch will be able to rival Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2. For a sandbox game, this is GODLY!

When they released inFamous trailers awhile back & supported it with "All footage are in-game" + KICK ASS music, I was sold.

I'd say it's the other way around. Nobody cared about Prototype until people starting comparing with inFAMOUS. Last year was crazy with the comparisons.

Agreed. Better missions, and some sort of online would be great. They could have online where you play as the gangs battleing over areas. That would be awesome. And instead of capture the flag they could have Capture the Cole lol.

People enjoy playing games online. It adds to the longevity, and the best example of single player games benefitting from online is Uncharted 2. The single player is rated as one of the best EVER, and adding multiplayer only made it a more versitale game. Have faith.

I played the demo and it was pretty fun, but everyone seams to love it. What was so good about it that wasn't in the demo because I might go pick it up, not sure yet.

Yea that's why I was thinking of picking it up since its like $25 bucks, plus Gamestop has a buy 2 used games get 1 free, so its a good time to pick up a few cheap games.

EDIT: @itch18 - I played the demo when I first got my PS3 and it was $60 and didn't want to spend a lot since I bought like 4 other PS3 exclusives lol

and wanna get the most out of it do the good arc first. That way you can be more reckless when completing the game the second time around as the evil cole thus completing the game a lot quicker.

The game was real cool. Some repetitive side missions and sewer missions but definitely worth a purchase. One of my few platinum's

they gave you all the powers. but you had to get them in the real game. and the story was more immersive, the ending was perfect.

but over all i think it was abillity to do whatever you wanted.

I've played it.

In the full game, you could expand your powers into 2.

As a Hero / Infamous.

Both of them have their own unique powers.

You could also choose your own Karma events which leads you into a good / a bad guy.

The story is interesting + plot twist.

If you still not sure, I could recommend you to rent it first.

For me apathy kicks in with open world games even things like red dead, infamous for me had the perfect balance between freedom and quite a linear path I never lost interest in what was going on everything was always at arms length and if there was A-B repetition it was always fun because of how the climbing mechanic worked.

Like most of the big ps3 exclusives recently the game has been playtested to death which makes it so so playable just like uncharted and ratchet.

Sucker Punch really stepped up on the graphical fidelity, though the first installment wasn't a bad looking game at all(for a Sandbox). It is really great to see that they were able to use more of the PS3's resources this time around. This should be a front runner for next year's best games. The first one was underrated, imo.

These are not bullshots, if you want Bullshots look at some of the posed GeOW3 shots that have been released, with a gazillion xAA immense lighting and stupidly high texture res, they were pre rendered.

However these all look to be gameplay without the HUD, some Low res textures to be seen, but this is expected in sandboxes on consoles, however it could still be the best looking sandbox so far on consoles.

WOW, those graphics from infamous 2 are top notch. Coming from infamous 1 this is a huge improvement. This is surely another hit, never bought 1 imo but i played it a few times, and it was a fun game...

This is why i bought a playstation 3 you know, Uncharted, Little big planet, God Of War, Gran turismo, Killzone, Motorstorm...(plus more i know i have missed but i wanted to focus on the main strong AAA series)...this is why i decided to wait another couple of years for it...i decided to pay extra...it had very very harsh criticism and now it is starting to pay off...it truly was for the future...with graphics like those it'll soon be compared to pc graphics (not soon as in months...but maybe in at least 2 years time)...gaming as a whole has come a long way...and i also respect other games like Rage, Bulletstorm, Crysis 2and Brink for also delivering good quality games across all plats....This is the future of gaming...just imagine what the PS4 can do...MADNESS

I played PC for YEARS. Halo:CE, CS, CS:CZ, CS:S, HL, HL2, BF1,2, Diablo, D2, Warcraft, WoW, Aion.... but MAN, these computer fanatics are insane. Any gamer can tell that consoles are where all the games are at.

PC is great for resolutions and modding... but the communities (outside steam and battle.net) are just non-existent. Plus, the best games this gen are console only.

I'm not trying to be provocative, nor am I some fanboy; Of the three consoles this gen I only have a Ps3 and don't intend to purchase either of the other two. So with that in mind, allow me to say this: I think Infamous is super-mediocre, and whilst this will almost definately be an improvement, I still think it looks like the same sh!t with better graphics. I won't be buying.

That said, both games are infinitely better than that abortion known as Prototype. I was hoping that game was in fact just a prototype of a better game to come in the future, but no, it was just a crock of sh!t.

I can't agree with your opinion of InFamous. But I will agree with your assesment of Prototype. I liked it at first, until all it's flaws added up to make me feel annoyed when I was playing it...

It was totally sloppy on the controls. Had a story that made no sense. Cut a lot of corners in the open world details. Didn't have levels designed to use the different powers in an interesting way. Had a horrendously tedius method of health charging (grabbing & absorbing people). The main character was a sociopath with no personality. And many missions ended up the same - fighting giant mutant dogs in an arena style melee battle.

Wow, what an improvement over the first Infamous. The first one was a fantastic game, but lacked in fisual fidelity. As well as in the animation. But just about everything else was spot on.
