The problem with Nintendo franchises is that its the same story every time with some cool new gameplay elements each time. The upgrades make it fun, but I am just tired of the whole rescue the princess thing.

These companies are pretty much just giving the people what they want. If you don't like Zelda, Mario, and Metroid, then don't buy it. I, for one, am EXTREMELY excited for a new Zelda. I also can't wait to play the new Sin and Punishment. :)

that they haven't come out with a motion-controlled StarFox yet. StarFox 64 will always be one of my favorite games (and the best StarFox), so I'd love to see a new one. It seems like it would be simple enough to make one with the Wii-mote and nunchuk.

Miyamoto said at some point (Can't recall from the top of my head) that the girl is no the Master Sword as everyone thought up to that point. However, if the game really is about the history of the master sword, she's bound to play a major role in its creation, because there are numerous similarities to her and the sword (Look at her feet compared to the interlined ornaments on the master sword handle). Miyamoto said that he plays an enormous role in the game.

Wait! Don't tell me. Link goes on a quest to save Zelda who is either missing, kidnapped or possessed. And the guy who is seen walking around all throughout the game is Ganon in disguise. Sigh. Zelda never technically was kidnapped, Hyrule was already destroyed and sunken, and You start on an island, not a village and you join a band of pirates. See why that's my fave?? different!

So, basically the 'confirmation' is that the information comes from the friend of a Japanese-to-German translator helping Aonuma to give a speech in an English-speaking country. And this guy has all sorts of insider information on the development process and all the internal discussions between the most important people involved... And he's okay with leaking this huge amount of information and getting jettisoned from the company because 'Germans don't care about rumors'?

E3 sure gives people a lot of weird ideas.
