CheatCC says, "All you need to know is Windy X Windam is a subpar 2D fighting game that likely won't even appeal too much to the anime fan base. There is literally no reason I can think of that would make this game worth the money unless it were discounted quite severely, and even then I struggle with the idea of playing it for free. This is certainly not the worst game ever made, it's no Superman 64, but there is definitely nothing here worth your time."
GoFanboy writes: "You know it's odd. I actually hear a lot of people complaining that there are too many good fighting games out there right now and not enough time to play them all. Well they won't be complaining about this one; that's for sure. And it's not because Windy X Windam is on a handheld. No going to blame the DS for this broken fighter. Graffiti Entertainment made a questionable choice when they decided to localize Ninja Studio's fighter."
