Yup, it's that time of year again. The biggest week in the gaming calendar is nearly upon us, and fevered speculation and ridiculous rumour-mongering is already coursing through the internet's veins. With that in mind, I thought I'd take a quick look at what we can expect to see in the Nintendo conference next Tuesday. Simon discussed the third party prospects the yesterday, so I'm going to take a more in-depth look Nintendo's own slate of goodies.
Game developers have already started to confirm that they will support the Nintendo Switch 2 with their future titles.
Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."
The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.
Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.
Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
3ds plus a new console (maybe) would make them win e3
If there is such thing as winning E3, in my opinion Sony have already won it!
I'm not being funny but to me E3 is all about Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo....i can't even remember anything from them for the past few years, except for stuff like wiimusic. The only way Nintendo could win this E3 for me is if they released a new console with the craziest, most awesome feature in it. But i don't think thay'll announce a new wii this e3.
To me, a nintendo e3 is just rinse and repeat. The same games popping up every E3 that have been around for 15 years. I really don't think they have a hope in hell at winning e3. Sony and Microsoft are out to impress big time and like usual, nintendo will be the side show to the main event
No one (and I mean NO ONE), really wins E3..... Ok? It always comes down to who liked what the most. Right....? Right. But this is N4G, so I feel as if I MUST explain this again but in a different way.
Lets say Sony showed nothing but "action adventure" games, Nintendo showed nothing but "platformer" games and MS showed nothing but "shooter" games. Who do you think the "shooter" fan is going to say "won" E3?
In short? It's all opinions guys, so chil out.
NOTE: If you are a fanboy about to reply to me with a big old wall of text about how MS, Nintendo or Sony "ARE GANNA WIN E3"..... Well, then there is only one more thing for you to read.
