Why Nintendo could win E3

Yup, it's that time of year again. The biggest week in the gaming calendar is nearly upon us, and fevered speculation and ridiculous rumour-mongering is already coursing through the internet's veins. With that in mind, I thought I'd take a quick look at what we can expect to see in the Nintendo conference next Tuesday. Simon discussed the third party prospects the yesterday, so I'm going to take a more in-depth look Nintendo's own slate of goodies.

3ds plus a new console (maybe) would make them win e3

Conloles5086d ago (Edited 5086d ago )

No chance of this happening officialnintenomagazine lol of course figures only they would be that deluded. This is gonna be between MS and Sony as it has been for at least 4 years now.

CrazzyMan5086d ago

GAMER! =)

Fanboys will always lose, because they limiting themselves.)
And yes, i lose too, Sony FTW! =)))

mikeslemonade5086d ago

They could win, but they won't win.

yoghurt5087d ago

If there is such thing as winning E3, in my opinion Sony have already won it!

qface645087d ago (Edited 5087d ago )

saying is there such a thing as winning e3 then saying sony has pretty much already won it already?

ok.... silly much?

Cevapi885086d ago

the winner is really decided during the upcoming holiday season....E3 is where each company give us many, many, many promises that they say we will see at the end of the year....the one company that keeps most of its promises at the end of the year is the winner, because consumers will have a diverse range of products/entertainment to buy

klado5086d ago

So that makes Microsoft, the hyper ventilated loser they are?

ReBurn5086d ago

I like to think that we gamers are the winners at E3. We should continue to demand quality for our money and E3 shows how hard these companies are willing to work to earn it.

ChickeyCantor5086d ago

Quality should be ensured anyway. If a game is crap we wont buy it.

We dont give them money and then hope for a good game.

...ok nvm that xD.
But you are right.

Shadow Flare5087d ago (Edited 5087d ago )

I'm not being funny but to me E3 is all about Sony and Microsoft. Nintendo....i can't even remember anything from them for the past few years, except for stuff like wiimusic. The only way Nintendo could win this E3 for me is if they released a new console with the craziest, most awesome feature in it. But i don't think thay'll announce a new wii this e3.

To me, a nintendo e3 is just rinse and repeat. The same games popping up every E3 that have been around for 15 years. I really don't think they have a hope in hell at winning e3. Sony and Microsoft are out to impress big time and like usual, nintendo will be the side show to the main event

FarEastOrient5086d ago

You've just disappointed all the Mario, Metriod, and Zelda fans...

I'm actually looking forward to Zelda myself by the way...

ZoidsRaven5087d ago (Edited 5087d ago )

No one (and I mean NO ONE), really wins E3..... Ok? It always comes down to who liked what the most. Right....? Right. But this is N4G, so I feel as if I MUST explain this again but in a different way.
Lets say Sony showed nothing but "action adventure" games, Nintendo showed nothing but "platformer" games and MS showed nothing but "shooter" games. Who do you think the "shooter" fan is going to say "won" E3?

In short? It's all opinions guys, so chil out.

NOTE: If you are a fanboy about to reply to me with a big old wall of text about how MS, Nintendo or Sony "ARE GANNA WIN E3"..... Well, then there is only one more thing for you to read.

Perspective does determine perception. However, that is one other quantitative way to decide a winner...Generally, E3 is used to promote and showcase what the companies will make available for the next Holiday season. Once the numbers are released for nov-dec sales tracking, you pretty much get an idea of who won E3 lol.

For the record, every year, folks here talk about nintendo's E3 and how it was trash and all, but then the company goes on to break records lol. I can't wait to hear how bad Nintendo's E3 was this year, even though it will probably be jam packed with goodies.

The only E3 I thought was lack luster was 2008.

RedPawn5087d ago

No No No, I know who's gonna win. Ok I got nothing, gesture trumps text, hahahaha.

+1

What episode did Picard do that?

FarEastOrient5086d ago

I think it was when the Borg said for him to come back to the collection. ^_^

FinalomegaS5086d ago

guy!, I had to LMFO at work when I saw that pic.

LOVED IT!

Keele5086d ago (Edited 5086d ago )

It's gonna go like this..

Microsoft, 1st
Nintendo, 2nd
Sony, last

TheAwesomessMan5086d ago

Imma go back a year when fanboys would say x fanboys have no games to play on x system and say this must be true on your part?!

How Many More Victims, Like Garry's Mod, Will Nintendo's Hurtful Crusade Create?

Hanzala from eXputer: "As Nintendo takes out 20 years' worth of stuff from Garry's Mod, I watch in shock, thinking why it continues to hurt and discourage its fans."

RiseNShine10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

The irony that some of the most disgusting business practices come from companies like Disney or Nintendo, i can't even begin to understand what terrible damage was Garrys Mod making to Nintendo bottom line, imho they're getting pretty nervous about where they're heading in the future, handhelds are no longer something exclusive to Nintendo, from Steam Deck to many others, now you can play the latest games and pay a fraction of the price on Steam sales, so it's up to their exclusives, which just on their own would make hard to justify purchasing a closed overpriced hardware with outrageous price policies (Super Mario Odyssey is still 60 euro 6 years later!), and as a home console they're always underperforming compared to Sony or Xbox.

gold_drake10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

i cam guarantee you, that their exclusives alone is what drives switch sales. they sell in the 10s of millions of copies.

nintendo created their franchises to be sort of nostalgia driven, exclusive only on nintendo.

people will always buy the pkmn games as they always bring in new younger fans amd is family friendly

mario kart, the same thing, mario games in general.

zelda games are system sellers. animal crossing for the casual gamers.

nintendo doesnt need third vame devs essentially. they made sure with the switch and the limitations that they looked more to pc ps and xbox.

its sad, but nintendo is more than fine with what they're doing. they positioned themselves to appeal to the more casual gamers.

but to your point, im not sure why they're doing this rly.

Inverno10d ago

Look at how they handled Nintendo games being streamed or uploaded on YouTube in the past. They killed Yuzu and Citra even when they had nothing to do with ToTK being leaked, not to mention it was basically unplayable on emulation the week it was leaked. Smash Bros tournament, that was fairly recent. They shut down their online services without any care for purchases made. I bought a switch after skipping their last 2 consoles and handhelds but I don't plan on buying anything Nintendo in the future. They take things to the extremes, they legitimately hate their fans. They're honestly right up there with the likes of Acti, EA, and Ubi, only difference is that they disguise themselves as being family friendly all the while being shady.

Nintendo's Massacre Of The 3DS And Wii U Is Finally Complete, Regrettably

Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
