Hellsvacancy5072d ago

"full PSN support, trophies, updates"

You wont get any of that friend, u dont get any of that with the PS1 games on there so i wouldnt expect that 2 change

:-(

GrieverSoul5072d ago

Dude, I just shed a tear by thinking that!
You know how many hours I played PSO?!?! More than 200 hours! The best part?! I played them OFFLINE!! I swear! I got to level 100 with all the magic except one, dozens of diferent MAGs and lots of rare weapons! I got to see some rare monsters too! That game is a BEAST in terms of item content! Great gameplay and by Dreamcast´s time standard, great visuals!

Oh, PSO with full online support... Shenmue on PSN... boy oh boy...

Information Minister5072d ago

This is great news! I already have Sonic Adventure on my Dreamcast, but I'll be first in line to buy Crazy Taxi and also Sonic Adventure 2 if it gets released.

@ Hells - According to the article, the games do feature online leaderboards and trophy/achievement support.

RageAgainstTheMShine5072d ago (Edited 5072d ago )

this was leaked long ago together with PS2 backward emulation which is equally better news.

Another 1UP for PS3 gamers.

POWAH STONE 2!!!

" Launched in Europe on October 14th, 1999, the SEGA Dreamcast is one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed consoles of all time. Featuring a software library of over 650 titles, the system was widely hailed as being ahead of its time, and was the first to introduce online console gaming, with Internet support for games through an inbuilt modem." - Sega was first not Microsoft.

Redempteur5072d ago

@Hellsvacancy

they said that online leaderboard, surround sound and trophy will be added for the games ...

Now i wait for the price ..

-Alpha5072d ago

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD POWER STONE 2 IS ALL I NEED!

OMG! My Sega is BARELY alive, and I was so afraid for my games, F YEAH!

And it's coming to BOTH XBL and PSN which is even better!!

Please, let these games just COME. SEGA RULES!

and with "all-new enhancements and features such as high resolution visuals and surround sound. Online leader boards are now implemented, allowing players to compare their skills with friends across the world! In addition to this, all-new Achievement and Trophy integration"

its all win for us gamers :D

GodsHand5072d ago

Resident Evil: Code Veronica???

What does Sega have to do with this game? Did Sega buy up the title from Capcom? I know it was released from the Dreamcast, but Sega has nothing to do with that title, you want this title your going have to ask Capcom for that. As for the rest of Sega - Dreamcasts titles I would not mind getting some of them.

WildArmed5072d ago

I think it had more to do with the emulation of Dreamcast games vs the game itself.
I dont think Capcom could bring it over w/o their permission due to contracts I assume

kewlkat0075072d ago

Jet Set Radio....Skies of Arcadia...Armada...Legaacy of Kain...Power Stone 2....Virtual On....Typing of The Dead...Bangai-O....are some of my Favorites.

Jeff2575072d ago

Id love to also get Jet Set Radio and Virtual On for PSN. I know XBL already got Virtual On but since I dont have a 360 Id love the chance to play it again. I spent so many hours playing that in the arcades.

Jamegohanssj55072d ago

I would just like WWF Attitude and WWF Royal Rumble.

TGSI

ATLGAMER5072d ago

It came out in japan but not here I want....I just rember flying and powers similar to Dbz and one know

Darkstorn5072d ago

Shenmue and Jet Set Radio for me.

Shang-Long5072d ago

dang... im gonna need to upgrade my hard drive... still running the 40 gig on my ps3

Tapewurm5072d ago

"Daytona USA, Sega Rally 2, Virtual On: OT, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, and Phantasy Star (Hydro Thunder would be nice too, but I think MS bought that up) ...then my PS3 will be happy.....would also be nice if they would put some Saturn titles up as well and make them PS3/PSP compatible..... Panzer Dragoon, Panzer Dragoon Zwie, and Panzer Dragoon Saga, Burning Rangers, Shining Force 3, Sega Rally, and Daytona CCE. Just hoping there :)"

That would be sweeeet.

dreamcast had some great games i heard there where some really cool shoot em ups on it cant wait fore shenmeu i missed out on that classic

e-p-ayeaH5072d ago (Edited 5072d ago )

Why ppl insist on this!? Are the games remastered in HD or something?

Plus i prefer playing these games with a dreamcast controler.

EDIT: Still this is great news for ppl that just want to play a ported version in their x360 or PS3

ThatCanadianGuy5072d ago

Finally, after sifting through dozens of opinion pieces and poorly written blogs..
I've found it! Actual NEWS! Actual wonderful game related news! :D

Great move by SEGA.

Abash5072d ago

Made my day, great news! PLEASE let Sonic Adventure 2 Battle also make it's way to PSN & XBL :)

gumgum995072d ago

that would be pretty awesome. 720p, leaderboards,...oh!!>.<

The 7 Best Sonic the Hedgehog Games: Racing through Time

Sonic the Hedgehog has a long and turbulent history in videogames, but which are the best games featuring the blue bur?

Rebel_Scum83d ago

Generations over Mania? Please… Generations doesnt have any new ideas in the levels/bosses.

Also a top 7 of Sonic games shouldn’t have any 3D crap and contain at least one of the 8-bit titles.

Sonic CD getting snubbed is weird. Number 1 is definitely interchangable between Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Snookies1283d ago

Nothing wrong with putting Generations over Mania. Generations had a lot more to it. Mania was just a bit too short, despite how amazing it was. They're both top-tier Sonic games though.

Profchaos83d ago (Edited 83d ago )

I don't think mania was to short given 1,2,3, knuckles were between 1 and 3 hours long.

Mania was 5 hours roughly

However i say the originals feel more repayable because they are so short

Profchaos83d ago (Edited 83d ago )

The 8 bit games were pretty bad overall do you mean the 16 bit ones

Rebel_Scum83d ago

Nope. Sonic 1 & 2 on the master system were great. Dont confuse these with the game gear versions either.

Profchaos83d ago

Top 7 for me
7 cd
6 mania
5 Frontiers
4 sonic 3
3 sonic 1
2 sonic and knuckles
1 sonic 2

persona4chie83d ago

Sometimes I feel like the Sonic Advanced games just didn’t exist with how much it’s always forgotten 😭

Chocoburger82d ago

Even as a Sonic fan, I didn't really care for those games, and getting the Chaos Emeralds were freakin' horrible. Even with an emulator and save states, I didn't have the desire to try. I also didn't like most of the levels or bosses either. Unfortunately, DiMPs aren't good at making Sonic games.

Sega's Classics Are About To Return, And I Can't Be More Excited

Amidst the thrilling TGA 2023, Sega landed with a bang, bringing not one, not two, but five classics, including Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio.

Fist4achin111d ago

Sega rocks and I'm excited that these classics are getting attention. Bring it on! Sega!

Yi-Long110d ago

I’m just happy that some suits at Sega have finally woken up to realize they have literal gold in their library well worth bringing back to a modern audience.

I’m hoping they can also bring back Virtua Tennis (doesn’t need licenses), Sega Rally, etc.

Fist4achin110d ago

I'm right there with you. Now I just need more time to play all that I want to play. My backlog is killing me.

CPTN MITCHELL111d ago

I'm playing Shinobi arcade thanks to happy Chick APK

I want to see a new ESPN Extreme Games, that first game on PS1 was so funny, and the video segments with that woman mocking you.
