IGN: Robocalypse: Beaver Defense Review

IGN writes: "Real-time strategy fans were treated to a clever and funny breath of fresh air on the DS back in 2008, when the original Robocalypse made its debut. It was a game created by two ex-writers of the SpongeBob show, and successfully brought together a humorous cartoon presentation with some seriously addictive and efficient RTS play. Daemon reviewed it back then. He loved it. This new follow-up, though, is a bit harder to love".

MMGN: Robocalypse: Beaver Defense Review

MMGN writes: "Robocalypse is an awesome cartoon style tower defense game. Can’t afford Starcraft II? Get your fix here. This game is a parody of the popular real time strategy (RTS) game, with missile shooting towers, heroes which you can control and upgrade, and units which repair your turrets and base when damaged. The game even features a similar robotic female voice that announces when your “base is under attack” or when you have “not enough scraps” which is used like currency to build more turrets."

Nintendo Life: Robocalypse: Beaver Defense Review

Nintendo Life writes: "Robocalypse: Beaver Defense has all the red flags of a stinker: a "crude humour" warning right when you boot up, a cartoony theme possibly chosen to draw in unsuspecting youths and a genre in which it's easy to cut corners. You might want to think twice before passing this one up, however, as this dam's actually quite sturdy."

Go! Gaming Giant Reviews Two Weeks of WiiWare

From the review:

"Welcome to another installment of Wiikly WiiWare Wiiview. Things are a bit different this time around because someone apparently thought it would be funny to hack the Go! Gaming Giant servers last weekend, which left me unable to publicize the latest reviews. As such, I have decided to combine last week’s review with this week’s to create one large WiiWare extravaganza. The games for last week were Viral Survival, Manic Monkey Mayhem, and Art Style: Light Trax. The games for this week were Robocalypse: Beaver Defense, Voodoo Dice, and Ben 10 Alien Force: The Rise of Hex."
