GameZone's Louis Bedigian writes,
"If, however, you’ve always wanted to make your own WarioWare mini-games – or have had the desire to create any game at all – WarioWare: D.I.Y. is an impressive package that won’t let you down. "
The Nintendo DS had a vast library of games available for purchase, and being the second most successful console of all time a lot of its games sold a butt-load of copies. Across its vast library pretty much every genre was covered, with some new gameplay styles thrown in for good measure. Everyone and their mum, and their grandmother owned Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training, along with games like Nintendogs, various Pokémon releases and New Super Mario Bros. selling like hot cakes.
Chris Buffa (Modojo): When talking video games, the question "where were you the first time you saw WarioWare, Inc: Mega Microgame$!?" normally doesn't come up.
Chris Buffa (Modojo): For the most part, multi-platform franchises always fare better on consoles, where developers take advantage of advanced processing power to display superior graphics.
Looks like a very fun game. I often contemplate making a purchase whenever I'm at a games store, but I tend to overlook it. Perhaps I should give it a go.
I thought the WarioWare series was getting a little stale, so kudos to them for trying something different!
you want to see a glimpse of wut game devs do? try making the best graphical game on Warioware D.I.Y. I guarantee u fail(unless u know good pixel art).
Good review. Shame I just can't get excited about party games... on any console.
