these actually don't look like pc shots at all. devs tend to use max settings when showing off pc games therfore there shouldn't be any jaggys and resolution should be much higher at the very least. these defiantly look like console shots

Hmm.

I like the art direction. Atmosphere is paramount in games like Dues Ex.

I also like the (what looks to be) dynamic lighting and the use of SSAO. For some reason, those images look upscaled though. I highly doubt those are direct feed images because they look compressed when viewed at 1280 x 720.

The first thing I noticed was the atmosphere of the game. It reminds me of Blade Runner.

Ok, that is alot better looking than some of the earlier shots I have seen. Even has realtime reflection in the water puddle of the peace officer's legs and also on the shiny floor in the lab with the scientist. Dynamic world shadows and SSAO too. That's pretty damn good for a multiplat.

Atmosphere looks alot closer to the first one (Which I consider one of the best games of ALL time). Second one was just not done very well at all. I sure hope this sticks to the first game's formula with some modern tweaks. This is looking GOOD.

Looking awesome! I cannot wait! I loved Invisible War, never played the first though.

I know people like to hate on Invisible War (whether rightfully so or not), it just means there's a good chance I'm going to love this game regardless of which game it takes after the most! :D

I HIGHLY recommend playing the first. It's gonna be a little more complex in the UI and the things you can modify and keep track of, and also look quite dated, but the gameplay is solid and your character really grows and the story is superb. I am willing to say it's the best story for it's depth and real-life issues and questions and discussions and the choices you can make to affect the story. So much depth!

I have tried that not too long ago, but just couldn't get into it, it's just too dated for me. I know many people can pick up a game from 10 years ago and enjoy it, me personally, I can't.

Doesn't mean I can't appreciate the game for what it was though, but it's mechanics (controls/aiming, animations, visuals etc) are just a bit too dated now.

Seriously? Graphics affect you that much? Hope you got the PC version and not the PS2, At least you could bump the res to 1080 or higher with insane AA and AF. Just saying, graphics aren't everything, they help....Hell, download the mods for Deus Ex that enable graphics enhancements, I think there is some DX10 or maybe even DX11 mod or something, I can't remember which.

I played the PC version.

And yes, graphics are a BIG deal to me. So are controls, animations, sound fx, cinematic approach etc. All those elements have been drastically (!) improved over the years since Deus Ex was released. Improved textures and a resolution boost is hardly going to make up for all that.

It's just the way it is, games evolve. I really don't get why it's so hard to understand that?! People think you can play a game from so many years ago and still get that same impact as when you played it back then? Ofcourse not, that's just silly. I know it could still be enjoyable regardless, and I know of people myself that do this, but I personally can't for all the reasons I mentioned above.

So all in all: Yes, you wasted your last bubble trying to convince me. ;)

Edit: I wanted to help you out a bit here and 'bubble you up' so I read through your comments history a bit and have concluded that you are indeed 'Bubbleworthy' (it's funny if you get the Seinfeld reference!). Keep it up, objective/non-biased posts like yours are a rarity here. :)

The art style is perfect, it's hard to comment on the graphics though because these images look insanely compressed, obviously not direct feed. They still look pretty nice though.
