PlayDevil: Topatoi Episode 2 PSN Review

We quite liked the first Topatoi episode @ PlayDevil- what do we think of number 2?

Here is a snippet:

"There is a new ‘casual’ mode, but turning it on and off didn’t seem to make a radical difference. The GEMMA machine still controls like a load of bricks in mud, and doesn’t allow for some of the precision that the game demands.

Talking of which, episode 2 is also significantly more demanding, which I found to be really annoying to be honest. The game gives few tutorials, again presuming you have completed episode one, and the difficulty has been ramped up to the max."

WorthPlaying: Topatoi: Pillar of the Skies Review

WorthPlaying writes: "Topatoi: Pillar of the Skies is the second part of a three-part story for the Topatoi series on PlayStation 3, once again being developed by Boolat Games and debuting first on the European PSN store. It's a really solid follow-up to the first game, The Great Tree Story, and finally reduces the handholding to a minimum. Pillar of the Skies allows you to play around with the various abilities you developed over the course of the first entry, and you can run loose in each level without encountering too many new mechanics. It is a little combat-heavy when compared to the first game, but overall, my general feeling is that Pillar of the Skies is a better experience than The Great Tree Story."

Topatoi: Pillar of the Skies DLC Review | Just Push Start

"Lately, there has been an abundance of platforming games to be released on the PSN Store but not many of them can really provide an addicting and fun atmosphere while providing a decent challenge to hardcore adventure gamers. Topatoi: The Great Tree Story was released on October 15th of last year and received decent ratings all around. It told the story of Raph, who's crash lands with his girlfriend and his professor, on a mysterious and unexplored world. Immediately after the crash, your girlfriend is swooped up by a gigantic blackbird known as Blackwing by the locals. Using your versatile hovercraft, you made your way through obstacles and solved puzzles along the Great Tree all while searching for parts and trying to rescue your girlfriend." - Just Push Start
