Kung-Fu LIVE Developer Calls Out Microsoft

It's one thing for gamers to call out Natal, which hasn't been properly revealed in it's entirety, and saying Sony did it first.

But a developer doing it? One would think he'd be smarter than that, with so little info to go off of.

As developers get closer to perfecting the side by side arcade experience at home, the fighting genre is getting a well needed breath of air. SSFIV is awesome, BBCS comes out in july, a new KOF is in development, and the mantle of it all is 2011s Marvel Vs Capcom 3.

I agree, when the game made an appearance a few months ago the developers website had a video of this game being played for both the Natal and the PS3, and now when the game was officially unveiled last week it's a Sony exclusive?

The video that showed both the 360 and PS3 version is now gone, but the devs are still interested in Natal.

The technology to do what Natal is doing is simply not present in the PSeye.

It's probably due to the fact that Microsoft is marketing Natal as a 1st tier piece of hardware, whereas Sony has typically marketed its motion controllers as 2nd tier or alternative ways to play.

Natal has shown off a lot, but the Move will deliver IMO.

We all need more info on Natal to make proper judgements, and devs like this are no exception.

Edit@below: Once again, you can't criticize people for liking Natal by saying nothing worthwhile for it has been seen, and then turn around and say it's the same as the EyeToy when nothing worthwhile (as in gameplay demonstrations, public playtests, etc) for it has been seen.

I just want E3 to happen so we can get this stupid issue over with. Then I can rave or rant about either motion controller accordingly.

Exactly. It's their tech that makes this happen. Along with the PSEye of course. If you read their website, this can't be done with the PSEye only. It can be done with other webcams and, obviously Natal.

Its all about software, hardware alone does not do anything. Natal is also just a higher quality webcam.

You do know that this can be done with Natal, right? That it's possible because of the FreeMotion Technology from the Virtual Air Guitar Company. You can even do it with a similar webcam on PC.

We'll see what MS shows at E3. I'm one of the, I guess few, people that are interested in both Natal and PS Move (since I own both a 360 and PS3). It all depends on the games.

Also, what's the fuss about, it's PS3, PC and 360 (when Natal launches).

PS I'm no fan of Natal or motion controls in general, but Natal is far beyond this on a technical and potential stand point.

Uh-hu. I question why people complain about how little is shown of Natal but then quickly talk about how this trash looks so technical. I'm sure this game will be awsome and if it is I will buy it. But I have to totally disagree that it is anything like Natal (keep in mind we haven't actually seen what Natal can do) I could be wrong of course and it may well end up being similar. Only time will tell and I hope there are many great games for both Move and Natal.

You can say that but everything in your list besides #1 were for tech demo purposes. Although I'm sure many of those ideas will be implemented in some form or another. I'm personally trying to keep an open mind until we see the real deal. I am excited for both Move and Natal, but I'm going to wait until they are both released to pass my personal judgement.
