Setting out to make a match-3 game these days seems a double edge sword. On one hand it’s an established format that offers unlimited game play and people like them. On the other hand though those games are a dime a dozen and we’ve been playing them forever. If you want to stand amongst the rabble you need to find a unique angle to get people hooked. The hook with 180 is that if the color of the pieces doesn’t match up you can flip them over like a coin to reveal a different color.
DIYGamer: "Headcase Games have passed along a note letting us know that the Android version of their reflex-improving puzzle title 180 Ultra is dropping the price tag for the day. Hop over to Amazon now to grab it at no cost."
VGC writes, "180 is similar to Bust A Move (too many systems to list here, from home consoles to arcade units), where you are trying to match up 3 or more discs (bubbles in BAM) that have 2 sides, tap them to change their active color. Shooting discs is a rather straightforward effort, literally, but it is in the twist, or flip, that Headcase have implemented."
AppSmile: 180 revolves around a simple, challenging, yet addicting concept. Each coin in the game has two sides of different colors and can be flipped at any time by tapping on it.
