Does that mean no Last Guardian until 2011?

Xulap5087d ago

Exactly my thoughts.

What a shame. :(
Though we'll have many games to entertain us this year.

Commander TK5087d ago

It´s not a big deal. There´s too many games coming out in Sep to Nov-Dec

RageAgainstTheMShine5086d ago (Edited 5086d ago )

which is good so we have time to digest its already awesome line up like LBP2 & GT5.

Man, I saw this news in Siliconera and its only a matter of time before they announce a US version, which is good.

This game alone is reason enough to get me all excited next year, then Sony will drop the next big stuff - Killzone 3 and The Last Guardian, which is good!

Yahoo!

This game alone is worth owning the PS3. For the meanwhile Majin The Forsaken Kingdom will fill in those shoes this year, which is good.

Sony is so spoiling us PS3 gamers with awesome art games like ICO & SOC HD. To the point of goose bumps, which is good ^_^ heh heh

sikbeta5087d ago

But man, This is TEAM-ICO Collection, those Games are GOLD, Please, this needs to be True, I have 40/60 bucks awaiting for that Masterpiece in HD

Akagi5087d ago

Finally. Hopefully this will stop the insane prices Ico/SoTC goes for on eBay.

Viper75087d ago (Edited 5087d ago )

Sony has plenty of developers on their sleeves. If the HD versions are anything like god of war hd, its possible that a separate team will be doing the port like bluepoint games who ported god of war 3 for Ps3.

However 2011 for last guardian would be my guess as well. Not much details have been told about the game yet, so its probably in early development phase.

HD Team ICO collection sounds sweet tough, missed the original Ps2 versions, so would get a second chance to enjoy these 2 games.

The Last Guardian needs to have it's own space like Heavy Rain. It shouldn't be lost in all the other big titles in the Fall like GT5, Call of Duty and so on.

I was hoping for a improved re-issue of the games. They did a fantastic job on the God of War games. To me this collection makes perfect sense since the Plasyation 3 no longer comes with the ability to play Playstation 2 games and that system had some of the best games so it would be nice to have new and old gamers play them either for the first time or again in a high-def Trophy supported experience.

TLG deserves to have a release date away from the holiday rush, but i sure hope it is sometime near Q1 2011.

No wai. if this is true then Sony are listening to us at the Blog Share.

SilverSlug5087d ago

or the comments that have been complaining since GOW collection.

Sir_Ken_Kutaragi__5087d ago

+ I just finished the 'God of War Trilogy' What EPIC Games!!! ;-P I LOVE my PS3;)

TheGameFoxJTV5087d ago (Edited 5087d ago )

JUMP IN. You guys were asking for that. But, seriously, this needs to happen. I loved that game on PS2, and would love a HD version.

GodsHand5086d ago

Be picking this up day one. But imagaine playing this game on the PS9!

Games4M - Rob5087d ago

Man i hope this is true.

These games remade in HD would put a lot of current gen games to shame.

saint_john_paul_ii5087d ago

if anything, the GOW collection showed Sony that people would buy these last gen games again as long as they get these games to run in HD and give it a cleaner look, just like what they did with the GOW collection (anti-aliasing/HD720p gaming, etc.)

I missed out on these 2 ico games (yea i know I deserve to get shot). if they bring it to the PS3, im not going to miss it this time :)

Hopefully they should convince 3rd party companies like SEGA to do the same with games like Shenmue. I would like to play the original on my PS3.

ScarT5087d ago

I also missed out on the first two GoW games. I obviously was not aware of the epicness i was missing out on. So yeah, i'm looking forward to this, even though i voted "Hard to tell"... But you know gaming news these days.

waltyftm5087d ago

WOW !!! If this is true, It means i will be able to play s.o.t.c at LAST !!!!!

cranium5087d ago

SotC was one of the 2 games ever that made me *almost* cry. I won't ruin it in case you don't know what happens, but believe me when I tell you that you won't be disappointed.

They may not be as remembered by the vast majority as other classics, but these PlayStation 2 titles are still significant.

A good number of these games are pretty well-known in the gaming community. I don't know who this 'no one' is, but they might not have been a gamer during the time of the PS2. ICO? The Warriors? BULLY?!? C'mon now.

FullmetalRoyale297d ago

Certainly not as interesting as a spoon controversy, right?

Terry_B298d ago

Not one of these is pretty "forgotten". But what you can forget are bad lists that need 15 clicks.

Terry_B297d ago

edit..why the fuck was this shit approved by 2 guys after all?

luckytrouble297d ago

Because the approval system is fundamentally flawed. The amount shouldn't decrease for approval over time, nobody should be able to have more than one vote, and pending content should be more visible so those measures don't feel necessary to push through less immediately popular pieces.

The number of ways this system can be intentionally or accidentally abused so crap like this can get through has been ridiculous for ages now.

Petebloodyonion298d ago

The title is misleading, it should be 15 best ps2 that you always ignored (hence the title of the video).
These games are not unknow but often left out when talking PS2 great game.
The warrior is a great game but let's be frank just mention it in a discussion amongs friends and half the crowd will go " OMG I forgot about that! "

Christopher296d ago

I think that's just a factor of time. Most movies from the 80s/90s that are great are like that with me as well. They're still great, just been so much between now and then that you can't keep it all at the forefront of your mind.

banger88298d ago

15 games on 15 pages? F*** that. I'll save you a click:

The Thing
Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution
Deus Ex: The Conspiracy
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly
Twisted Metal Black
ICO
Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Transformers
Silent Hill 4: The Room
Red Dead Revolver
War of the Monsters
XIII
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction
The Warriors
Bully

Good man, keep up the work homie

Leeroyw297d ago

Agreed. Some heroes put on their pants one leg at a time like the rest of us. Thank you.

MrNinosan297d ago

I remember and know all the game exceot War of the Monsters...
But maybe my name is "no one"

Phoenix76296d ago

Last time I checked (a year ago) War of the Monsters was available to buy as a ps2 classic on the ps store. Know I've still got my disc copy and fairly sure it's in my digital library

This video game journalist must not know any gamers, not be on any gaming sites, and is probably young only know of these games because of an older sibling.

None of those games are forgotten and most are spoken of fondly fairly often.

Very special game! I still have the limited edition. The artstyle of Team ICO is very distinct. https://www.videogameshelf....

This was a fun look at Ico. So hard to believe it's been 20 years already. Where does time go?
