The last game footage I saw was a jittery, laggy mess. The stills looked ok (passable - not great), but the in-game video was choppy enough to give someone seizures.
I'm still hoping this game delivers on its potential - more excellent games are good regardless of platform - but I'm definitely waiting on reviews before plunking down any cash on this game.
i remember when a lot of hyenas praised this game as the Gears of War Killer... lol!
They all hyped the game funny how those screenshots in those days was all 360 stuff and mistake them for ps3.
BUT today... nobody is saying shit..
3DS graphics look better <_< ......of course that's an exaggeration but you get the point. I could've swore this game looked beautiful when it was a PS3 exclusive. Obviously, when it went multi-plat, the quality has dropped due to having to focus on 2 versions.
yeah, but it's not like the 360 is that far off from the ps3 (even if killzone 2 and 3 looks freaking amazing!), the multiplatform thing has to gimped both version to the same or near the same level.
...but this ain't no Gears. Some of those images, even at the size shown, look like a game that should have been released 18-24 months ago.
Quantum Theory has largely been compared to Gears of War due to its similar style of gameplay. PlayStation LifeStyle got some hands on time with the game during E3 and it seems the game really is a Gears of War rip-off.
I disagree. QT knows it's a bad game, so is rolling with it's B movie quality.
Gears thinks its teh sheeeeeeit, and tries to be TEH EPIC at all times. And quite frankly, it suffers from that.
Gothic theam but u can never beat the real thing.but never play gears so i pick up qt wen it's cheaper to have a view of why ppl love gears
but QT's entire existence was to be a Gears of War rip off but much better, atleast that's what the game designers said last year, lol. I don't see it happening but if it atleast offers something different then it'll do fine, but only fine.

Poor mans gears? If im not mistaken, wont this game release at $60? Or are you just saying that the game will suck (another equally irrelavent meaning since you most likely havent played it yet, and there are no reviews saying either if its a good game or not)
The game looked pretty damned good a year and a half ago, tho since it went multiplat the trailers make it look as if it lost some pizaz in the graphics department. Either that or im dreaming things. The game looks like it could be pretty good, guess we'll just have to wait and see.
stupid article, was hoping it would elaborate since it seems to write an article they would have played it more. Instead its about a paragraph of what we have already heard. It might as well read, after you have seen 500 sites also call it a gears of war rip off we are confirming yes it does look like a gears of war rip-off.
I just want to know if its fun or not, Gears is fairly generic on story as well, characters, etc.. but gameplay is is extremely fun and satisfying...if this knock-off can deliver 80% of that and maybe some different multiplayer it could be solid fun as well.
...The biggest mistake that was made with this game is to make it multi-platform. If this game was still exclusive the PS3 fan would back it up. But now that it is multi-plat nobody cares and nobody comes to defend it.
The most likely facts are..
1)Quantum Theory is most likely a Gears of War clone.
2)It is probably not as good as Gears but still a good game.
The fact is that being a clone of Gears of War is not a bad thing. Gears is 9+ game. There is enough room for a game to be not as good as Gears and yet still be a good game. The gap between 8.0 and 9+ is very big in video game circles. If this game could turn in a Metacritic of 7.9, the fans would call it an 8 and embrace it, IF IT WERE PS3 EXCLUSIVE.
Now, no one cares. This game was buried at E3. If it were PS3 exclusive it would have gotten much more press. It might even have made it to the stage since Sony went out of the way to highlight their exclusives.
No one cares. This topic has been up for 3 hours and has about 30 comments. People have been attacking the game and no one is defending it. If it were PS3 exclusive the PS3 fans would defend it. Because, the fact is, if the game is half as good as Gears then the game actually is worth defending. But this game gets no defense.
Some games should be platform exclusive. Emotional fans of both systems are just that, EMOTIONAL. They'll buy a good a game if it is exclusive but won't buy the same good game if it is multi-plat. Especially if the developers commit the betrayal of moving the game from exclusive to their system to multi-plaform. Those same fans who would have bought the game in droves out of a sense of supporting the team, will aggressively 'not buy' the game in droves, because the game is 'no longer ours. Thus, they won't care.
I see it this way. Quantum Theory is to PS3 as Dante's Inferno is to 360.
But when a game, exclusive or multiplat, is bad no one will buy it. I dont think Dante's Inferno did that well on either system. You do make me consider that maybe if it had been 360 exclusive it would have sold better on the 360 but it still would have not sold more than what the two systems sold together so multi or exclusive, bad games sell bad. Please note though I am only refering to clone games.
Bad games shouldn't be defended just because they are exclusive.

If you've seen Quantum Theory you know it looks a lot like Gears of War. It's a third-person shooter with a cover system, big burly men and heavy armor. But if you've played Quantum Theory then you know that they're at least attempting to do something different. Tecmo Koei boss Yoshiki Sugiyama would really like to stress that now.

I love Gears Of War, I don't care if it's a clone! LOL am I the only one exited for QT? I hope it turns out great. I can't wait to hear more about QT.

the idea of the moving tower seems good, and it can be awsome if it works, but all the rest looks generic and a ripp-off from gears
everything is a ripoff of everything. u could say gears is a ripoff of killswitch if you wanted. any game with a gun in it is a ripoff of what ever game had a gun in it the first time.
we as gamers shouldn't care as long as games are good.
it just look exactly like it and offers some of the same gameplay. It's not really a clone :P

The game does have some interesting game mechanics, The voice acting is over the top like most Japanese developed games. I may wait till it drops in price and grab a copy.
Lol I remember calling this game out (a little over a year ago I believe) when it was a PS3 exclusive and thought it looked like crap. Not much has changed I see.
Gears of War sucked and since Quantum Theory is just a clone, it will also suck.
