Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer introduces a modern world at war

Joystiq: Activision and Treyarch have released the first full-length trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops. You may remember the initial teaser from a couple weeks back, but this one -- clocking in at a more satisfying 1 minute 42 seconds -- is, as promised by Treyarch community manager Josh Olin last week, "brand-new, 100% gameplay." Watch it in full after the break.

Wow if you told me that these were new maps for MW2 I would have believed you.

IMO, Treyarch's WaW was a lot better than MW2. I mean, the zombie mode alone made the whole game worth it. I skipped on Mw2, so I will definitely support Treyarch. The game is looking great.

Did that just just blow up another guy with a crossbow!? I want this game!

jjohan355116d ago

Doesn't matter how cool Treyarch is or isn't. I'm buying this used just to piss off Activision.

I am looking forward to this since World at War was a great game imo. I just hope they incorporate Nazi Zombies.

DarkSpawnClone5116d ago

every year same old crap
this is the new madden crap

huzzaahh5116d ago

Actually, it seems like they've added a lot of stuff. This game looks quite good. I most likely won't be getting it in favour of real AAA games, but I might rent it to try its Zombies mode... if Treyarch is smart and adds it.

electricshadow5116d ago

Oh look. Another generic Call of Duty game. I hope they raise the price to 100 dollars for the standard edition. Yet, you sheep will buy it.

Ocelot5255116d ago

can you still rent games in the USA?!

in many european countries renting games is forbidden

Black Ops 1 Nuketown versus Cold War Nuketown '84

From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.

Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
