Have you seen the release list for the rest of the year? There's a phenomenal number of shooters coming to consoles and PC in 2010 - arguably too many.

So, if we've got to shoot, then we might as well do it properly. What are the top 5 shooters coming in 2010? Let's find out. You might be surprised...

List is a bit premature and lacking many titles. Even if just upcoming shooters there are many that could be on this list for 2010. Best to wait until after E3 before a list like this can exist. I say with at least 10-15 titles rather than just 5.

And was rushed/forced by Activision.
Black ops will be made by Treyarch, aka the people I prefer over Infinity Ward. xD

I will go with:

1. Crysis 2
2. Medal of Honor
3. COD: Black Ops
4. Halo
5. Brink

So basically your list in reverse. Thing is that we know NOTHING about brink so we can't make judgements as to how it will play. Second, you are making a judgement on Crysis 2 based on the graphics alone. Sorry, but I think Crysis 2 looks STUNNING and I can pretty much guarantee that Crytek will deliver a critically acclaimed shooter as they did with crysis. COD will be good, but will probably offer nothing new....Vietnam, co-op, so and and so on. Medal of Honor will be fantastic simply because DICE is working on MP. Halo will sell like hotcakes and I'm sure it will be great but I'm not sure how innovative it will be. One thing we can agree on is that Ghost Recon will be lame...seems like UBI is trying way too hard with this one.

MAG is definitely the shooter for me at the moment. Battlefield BC2 is more like a playground of destruction. Crysis 1 wasn't even a good game, let alone a downgraded console version. Played the Halo Reach beta, lol! Nuff said. Brink,ummm ya whatever, I think the only game that will hold a candle to MAG is Medal of Honor, and thats if they add Bad Company's destructibility with objective game types, and no I dont consider capture the flag a game type. MAG for me is the most ultimate shooter Ive ever played in my life. All you non believers can go ahead and fight over which games are better than who's while I play MAG and get ready for some Socom 4.

Then you should do some research on it, because it looks to be a great game. I think you meant to say that since it's not being hyped like other overrated games/franchises, it's not worth mentioning.

Enjoy your clones like the rest of the sheep, while those that take the time to think and evaluate a game on it's own merits enjoy brink.

And Brink WILL revolutionize the fps genre, I'd tell you all it does with BOTH the SP and MP, which COMBINES the two at anytime, among other things, but you should do your own research...

I'm interested in brink, seems cool from what I read about it, and Crysis 2 will be sweet but must have MP if I'm going to buy it, but resistance and kz might not come out this year, if resistance do come out I still wouldn't get, what about a new bond game!

as I ended up getting a 360 for Alan Wake & Mass Effect. It was the bundle that came with Forza & ODST. Anyhow, I downloaded the Reach beta, jumped in and... wtf do people honestly see in this game. I know it's just a beta, but this was mediocre at best!

yes, because there hasn't been any decent coverage on it. If you played Socom before, you know what to expect... best tactical shooter. maybe they will put in some vehicles.

I like how a lot of people are over looking the fact that this is about FPS' not yet released but confirmed for this year. Why mention Alan Wakee(not an FPS) or BF:BC2(already released). Maybe the title should have been different but "For 2010" could be implied that they meant future titles. But whatever.
