Whith the due respect, sorry but this game is beyond mario kart, because in this game you can create your own game, tracks, cars, etc, and share them whith the community, just like LBP!...I think you can't do it in mario kart, so for me is just like you talking about different kind of games, although they are very similar for some people!

Well Sparta, I wouldn't say it's beyond Mario Kart in the sense that Mario Kart was a classic game.

But the racing is apparently tight, the creation tools seem endless, and the game seems like great local/party fun.

I just hope they find away around these technical loading issues and such. My biggest concern is lag.

Edit: after watching the review it seems like a solid game. I'm concerned about the mentioned lag. LBP's online was troublesome because of its lag and I dont want to see the same happen with MNR.

It looks like the shock after watching the meta score of alan wake dropping to 84/100 compared to Heavy-Rain 87/100 , when all of the xbots said that it is going to be an AAA title scoring 90+ has made quite an impact :).

PS3 have the best games in Q1 this year with God of war 3 + Heavy Rain.
X360 only had.........well nothing but multiplats ...LMAO

What other kart racers gives you a professional design tool so you NEVER get bored of the same maps and spend HOURS or even MINUTES creating and sharing your own track? None. What other kart racers let's you DESIGN and PLAY your very own character so you are never stuck using the same as someone else's? None. What other kart racer lets you TUNE and DRIVE your very own kart? None. I've played Mario Kart, hell I love mario kart, but it gets boring after a couple of days, same maps OVER AND OVER again, the driving is fun, but this driving looks even better (as IGN said it played very well), not only does the driving look better, but the graphics looks better, there is an actual story, there is revolutionary customization. This is the kart racer to beat.

Dude, you know GT, they are the worst bias site ever. They should stick to what the do best (and only thing they know how to do): TRAILERS.

Their reviews are so hypocrite, and so money/fanboy/hype dependent is sad. Like some poster above wrote, if this game had mario the score would flip to 9.7. They don't review the online part because they know they would have to give it a better score. But what happens with games like Ratchet and Clank Future? they deduct point for not having online. What happens with games like MW2, they don't even take into consideration the single player.

They are the worst reviewers ever, and if someone is destroying the entire industry is not Nintendo with the casual market, or Microsoft playing nasty tricks to get exclusives/timed-exclusives, it is the media believing they have can manipulate gamers however they please, and being biased as they please.

Its the most intuitive creation tool i have used on any platform imo its worth buying the game simply for the feeling when you put together a track and realise its a frigging masterpiece in 15 minutes and takes u back to the old diddy kong days! game is AA.

Remember Demon's Souls? R&C? 8.9 they just didn't want them to be AAA scored titles.

I can safely say I was able to build tracks and karts with EASE, it's really easy to get stuck in and spend hours tweaking a design.

This is the same site that gave Uncharted 2 a lower score than other reviewers because it didn't bring "anything new to the table".

Now they have an innovative title and score it low. Hypocrites.

I have to say in general this was a very poor review. Lots of conflicting statements especially when it comes to level design. I don't like to call bias but at the same time when you consider yourself a legitimate site, you have really no room for error.

the only problem i have with the review is the fact that they scored it lower than Sonics newest kart racer. i find it hard to believe that Modnation is worst. end of the day its their opinion. i have yet to play the game, not even the beta, so i cant really say what kind of score the game deserves.
