PCGAMER had two major complaints with previous EQII expansions: they've catered almost exclusively to the high-end crowd and they've ignored the voluminous amount of source material from the first EverQuest. Thankfully, with the release of Echoes of Faydwer, these issues are mostly resolved and in spectacular fashion. SOE has done such a good job of transitioning the original Faydwer to EQII that seeing the Chessboard and Orc Hill damn near made PCGAMER weepy eyed.
Sony Online Entertainment has just announced on their Facebook page that their servers will not be returning this weekend.
Remember that this is not for the PlayStation Network, but only for SOE servers. Stay tuned for more information.
It looks like it is time for me to finally purchase Team Fortress 2 on Steam. At least that should keep me occupied until PSN comes back online for E3. Or better yet, maybe I will just get the orange box from Steam.
I've almost got Platinum on Mafia II and now have just about all of the offline trophies for SOCOM 4. Elite mode is tough though.
Understandable, basically the SoE servers need to be put through what the PSN was put through, minus a fdew days because sony will already know what needs to be put in place etc.
Sucks for some people, however i haven't got any SoE games.
No disrespect to the SOE customers but when will PSN be online? PSN has been offline longer.

Really? C'mon. They told you they wouldn't be up and that they couldn't provide a date. Your one of those people who complains if they do and complains if they don't aren't you?
They're still in the final stages of testing i'd say PSn will be up by tuesday at the latest
I remember being glued to the computer monitor when Everquest first released. I have no idea what I would have done if the network was down for this long. Addiction is an ugly thing that everyone struggles with.
I really miss DCUO. If the 360 had it, id buy the game again for it. I would buy it on pc but im not a mouse & keyboard type of guy & besides even if i used a controller for pc id prolly get owned by pc players who use a keyboard & mouse.
The massive content update called Halas Reborn is now live on Everquest 2 servers. This update adds the New Halas city for new players, two new raids, a Storyteller system, and a number of fixes and changes.

That Passport system for EverQuest II is utter, utter tosh. Seriously. $5 for three consecutive days, and you can't do it more than once a month? That's *ridiculous*. If I actually see anyone using that I will HIT them.
