Wario may be one of Nintendo's more morally questionable characters, but he's found a place in the hearts of millions of fans all over the globe, largely thanks to the brilliantly addictive WarioWare series.
Built on short 'micro-games', which require quick reflexes and are usually based around completing a simple task, the franchise has enjoyed several successful instalments across the GBA, DS, GameCube, and Wii, but this latest handheld offering is arguably the most revolutionary yet.

These wacky, fast-paced mini-game collections were the perfect way to, not only have some hearty laughs with friends but to show off the more unique and underutilized side of Nintendo hardware. However, it’s been quiet on the WarioWare front for the better part of a decade now with the last ‘main’ game in the series released when the Wii launch in 2006 leading to the series becoming just one among many of seemingly forgotten Nintendo franchises and leads me to ask… what happened to WarioWare?"

There's also had a wonderful collection of downloadable titles via WiiWare, which played host to Sonic the Hedgehog’s comeback and the continuation of the popular Bit.Trip series.
