The X series of games is an action space sim developed by Egosoft and contains large amount of features, spanning 6 games altogether: X: Beyond the Frontier and it’s expansion pack X: Tension, X2 The Threat, X3 Reunion, X3 Terran Conflict and it’s newest expansion pack, Albion Prelude as well as the sequel/reboot X Rebirth, which is currently in development.
This is one very deep game, I sunk about 15-20 hours into the game and really didn't even scratch the surface. Not only is it a space combat game but you can literally build your own empire. I havent touched my copy of the game in awhile, but despite that I still got my money's worth - just to be in awe of the game design... It's like when you wonder if I can do that, it's often that yes you can - but you will be on the community forums digging for information.
I bought this game a while ago but stopped playing it because of how time consuming it is. I mean this game will steal more of your time than some MMOs will.
yeah it's some king of solo MMO.
WATCHOUT, time sink incoming. the first 15 hours are really hard, but after....
Blown over a thousand hours on this since I got it on release day and I'm still not bored of it. Add to that almost a thousand more hours on X2 and you get the idea how much I like this game.
