First Mario Kart Wii screens

Nintendo has released the first screenshots from Mario Kart for Wii. Coming the first half of 2008.

I'm sorry for the mario/nintendo fans...but i think the graphics are awful...even my old ps2 can do better!

I agree that those screens weren't great, but they are pretty detailed and vibrant. For what it's worth, the oh-so-sweet (and oh-so-short) taste we got during the conference was actually quite good. Maybe it has something to do with the game being in motion...

I think the burger king game that came not long ago is similar to mario cart.. but with better graphics.. there are games on the xbox 360 that offer a similar experience.

Why would you compare Mario Kart to those games? Mario Kart isn't even an attempt at a realistic racing game. Those games will never have an online battle mode or any sort of weapons for that matter. Sorry, but I think you stretched a little too hard for that comparison.

I'd be bored as hell if the only racing games I had were as similar as Forza 2, GT, and PGR4 are to eachother.

Dude i SLEPT through most of the sony conference. I tried to pay attention, but it was so boring, with them trying to be funny "ooh I think you got some wookie hair on you" wtf?

Also, this game isnt due untill next year, look at what they did to metroid prime in about a year...

this is big news for us Nintendo fanboys cause we like games like this.. sure its no FORZA but i don't wanna play FORZA.. i wanna play MARIO KART.. and its a pretty established franchise.. i mean mario kart SNES, MARIO KART 64, MARIO KART ADVANCED, MARIO KART DOUBLE DASH GC, MARIO KART DS (best yet) and now MARIO KART WII.. so we knew it was coming but who knew it was so soon.. i'm happy.. and if ur not.. then too bad.. go deal with it..

..we all know F-zero is coming too.....if they manage to let us play with 30 players online(like Medal of honor that will be playable up to 32 players)

Online tournament, class racing...the common things you do with F-zero...if you remember Fzero X..there was this game where you had to destroy all the CPU players..now that would be cool against others.

if that happens i will have a huge orgasm.

Seriousley? You are comparing graphics of this game to PS3 and Xbox360 games? Mario Kart is fun as hell. I still play the Gamecube version to this day. The graphics might be out dated or ill compared to Sony or Microsoft but come on, the game is always fun to play!

Mario Kart games really haven't changed that much since the 64. But you can garuntee that it will be really fun, and can have almost eternal lastability on mutiplayer.

I was pretty skeptical about the controls for this and Fzero, but after playing excite truck I can see how it's not to hard to get used to motion control after a bit of practice.
