totally disagreed, artstyle is good for Killzone but Crysis is far more vivid and animation is also just as smooth if not more. Textures are low res and there are no trees to blow the sh_t out of, so in conclusion no way Killzone is better. Its Sony's equivalent of MS's Halo. Nothing more. I will get it based on reviews

Killzone 2 is very pretty and it will no doubt be a stunning game and loads of fun to play, it is not however any sort of new benchmark in gaming, visual or otherwise.

I wouldn't say Crysis is technically far superior, it has another art direction, it's more photorealistic, but the animations and physics surely ain't better than in KZ2. KZ2 looks focking great and is up there right with Crysis.

This is what a wanted to write. And it is to early to compare them. We have seen so little of KZ2, let's just waith a few more days to see more of it.
Crysis is stunning but question is how many PC can run it at MaX spec? Well not that many.

Being realtime doesn't mean it's how the game will look like when playing. And It's not technicaly impressive .. but I do praise the amount of effort they put in it.

Crysis doesn't have a single non-dynamic light in it, it's all realtime rendered. It have full HDR ambient illumination. So on... just because it looks better doesn't mean it's technicaly superior (Or else RE2 is far superior then Shadow of the Colossus....... LOL) ...

They said every level took up 2GB. So with sound, menu, Loading screens, Physics, and AI all being shared you would need like <insert # of levels here> discs.

This is the per-alpha stage of the game. Everything will be much better in the final version. People need to stop comparing it to a finished game like GoW.

I dont think so mate, all i see is some sony fanboys trying to convince me this game is "breath taking" and nothing else we've seen before.

Crysis is going to blow this out of the water, as it will with Gears, COD4, HAze and any other game released on a console in the coming years.

I admit it looks nice, but with the target trailer, the hype and an interview with some Sony guy i read saying that the game looks just under par of the 2005 trailer these new screenshots and the video are nothing but disapointing.

However seeing as the game is such a long way away from being released, maybe they can polish it up to look "wow" now i know what i payed all this money for the PS3, but at the moment, it looks like, another dull shooter.

and someone was talking about animations being spectacular, their clothing looks too stiff in the first part where they are flying, then if you look at the textures on the flying device, they are flat. and then if you look at the screen grabs, the shadows have crazy jaggies. I'm expecting more from sony and this game. I hope they improve on it with the year allotted time. If not, then this will be just another over-hyped game.

Too much hype for me, the effects are great but the textures are lacking. But I agree with caveman, the games are now clearly good enough on all platforms so just enjoy.

I am using windows media player 11 on a 2.6 processor pc with 256 graphics card and 1.5g of ram.
However when i play back to pic is jittery and staggered occasionally stopping.
Can anyone please advise?Really want to see this game in hd.

The game that would make me part with my cash and by a PS3 would be a spectacular looking Wipeout HD. I know its on the way, I am just surprised that more gamers aren't more excited about it than Killzone 2, a totally unproven franchise.

Sorry but Killzone is not getting with Halo 3 or Gears at all. KZ2 single player is still no match for gears of war multi player. But it still looks like a game that current PS3 owners should not pass up.

GOW's technical achievements are a bit misleading, considering the game has very few models on screen at one time. What were looking at here in games like KZ2 and Lair is ability to create the same level of detail on a much bigger scale. Imagine that level of detail on a 32 or 64 player online map, which is what ps3 can deliver.

Chracter modes in Multi-player matches will take a hit to produce that many. seeing that the textures look terrible already, i'm not intrested in seeing that many. Drop it to 8 vs 8 and I'm in.

I don't know what you're looking at, but it looks like the most graphically impressive console shooter ever. The sheer size and activity of the environment with that level of detail is just insane. 64 might be a bit out of hand, but 32 would definitely be doable without a hit to the textures.

This is so annoying, both Halo and Killzone has different art styles, compare the gritty art style of Killzone and Gears of War. The fact is, there is no such thing as pre pre alpha, theres alpha then Beta and then its the final product. This game is probaly approaching an internal Beta and will release either the end of this year or sometime next year. I gotta admit, some of the stuff in the trailer was pretty awesome, however, other times it was meh.

Crysis does beat this game to hell graphically. I just find it funny how all these fanboys are fighting over which game is better, I've played Halo 3 and the gameplay beats both Halo CE and Halo 2, as for Killzone 2, will it be the same hyped up game that was Killzone 1?

Who knows, if the gameplay is crap then what is the point in playing this game, really?

First person shooters as the same commando. Weather you're fighting aliens or nazi's. You need some kind of personality to your game. This game looks nice but there is nothing that says...Play me. Hellgard = Nazi....WWII shooter all over again. Perharps it will be have cool weapons.

Gears of War graphics are top notch, noboday can argue about that but Killzone2 has better animation, better physics, 20 times more things going on, massive maps, charactor details look amazing, destructible enviroments, more than 4 people on the screen. This is coming from a guy who paid $530 for a premium just to play Gears of War, the only game that is in the same league as KZ2 is Crysis, but Crysis looks so generic. Killzone2 is a masterpiece, I like the art style and story seems like something totally new. I'm tired of WW2 clones and this is a break from the norm. ok guys, I'm going back to Half life 2
