TGH Writes:
"The Grand Theft Auto series has a rich history of telling very unique and epic crime stories, from the thrilling first fully 3D adventures of the no named protagonist of 'GTA3' to the beloved Tommy Vercetti and to the present day Niko Bellic. They all had a story to tell, each of them unique and made the player want to keep going and continue on the journey of either a petty thugs rise to power or an immigrants road to make something he can call his own with a past shrouded in vengeance. No matter what the story is Rockstar manages to make something spectacular with it. That pattern is not set to waste here in 'Episodes From Liberty City'. However does the game warrant a purchase to those who have already experienced GTAIV? After all it is the same landscape with a few minor changes. Does the game add enough content to assure the buy that its going to be 20-40 dollars (single DLC episodes that require GTAIV disc are $20 and disc based 2 episodes are $40) well spent?"
GTA 4: Complete Edition is not a remaster, but it does do some pretty cool things for PC gamers including finally removing Games for Windows Live.
The Steam versions of Grand Theft Auto IV and Episodes From Liberty City are combining, and players who own one or the other are in for some changes.
I woupdn't update the game. It doesnt have game breaking issues and I would lose one of the radio stations.
"Thankfully, players will seemingly easily be able to update their game to the new version easily by simply installing "
What the fuck kind of sentence structure is that?!
GTA4 was the worst game in the entire series and the only one I've ever truly hated
They'll never get rid of how slow and sluggish these games feel. Your character and vehicles feel too heavy. Even on the most powerful rigs. I love how GTAV fixed it though.
Nick writes: "If you fancy some GTA nostalgia, and/or want to dive back into the GTA IV package in its entirety, I would say that if nothing else strikes your fancy, The Ballad of Gay Tony should."
One of the very rare cases where DLC was done right. This is what DLC should have been, a proper expansion pack, not what it has become today.
I'm disappointed that you can't simply download one of the episodes and play, you NEED to have GTA4 disc if you plan to download, or you are forced to buy both episodes on a disc.
I was looking forward to playing The Ballad of Gay Tony but i don't want GTA or Lost and the Damned so i will have to pass.
On PC you don't need GTA 4 just for some clarification.
Just buy the episodes disk and you're good to go
I GUESS THE ARTICLE ABOUT DLS DOSENT AGREE WITH BLURAY IS TRUE?
I got the blu-ray Episodes from Liberty City on release day, yesterday (UK). It cost me £27.70 from a supermarket. On PSN the episodes are £13.99 each which equals £27.98. I know I only saved 28pence but I would rather have the episodes on disc. I don't need GTA4 to play them and I could also sell or trade in my disc when finished with and get some money back, which you cannot do with DLC. I also prefer to have a game on disc rather than HDD.
