PlayDevil just posted their latest review of Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter for XBLA- is this a great retro shooter still?
Here is a snippet from the review:
"Serious Sam is a very simple shooter, that even at the time, looked to go back to the roots of the genre. The basic controls are just move, shoot, aim and jump. The levels are mostly linear, but there are loads of secrets to find.
However, the pretence of an open structure doesn't do the game any favours in the modern world- it's very difficult at some points to pathfind, and impossible to know at other points you are locked in certain areas until you kill a certain number of enemies."
Steam's Summer Sale has tons of games at low prices, but here are the best games you can buy without worrying about spending too much money.
Serious Sam Fusion 2017 gives rebuilt games to owners of previous Serious Sam games and includes updates such as VR/non-VR crossplay.
Ross Hartley: "Ross shows Isaac that Serious Sam is pretty dope and we talk about a lot of other stuff!"
