Does he know when it'll lose its "freshness" though?

WhatARump5170d ago

Keep it up Kojima!
Screw the Haters!!!

Government Cheese5170d ago

Yeah.. keep it up Kojima.. go ahead and put in more adverts actually! I love seeing gaming stuff filled with advertisements

kalebgray925170d ago

its called humor ppl.... i love it... i wish there were more... who knows might have a snake/drake game kojima/ naughty dog studios production.... would be best graphics of all time

VINNIEPAZ5170d ago

I'm not the biggest MGS fan but I love Monster Hunter and got a kick out of seeing Snake fighting a Rathalos. Classic

Rocket Sauce5170d ago

It's like people only do things because they get paid, and that's just really sad.

HolyOrangeCows5170d ago

"...will be packed with many cross promotional tie-ins, from Monster Hunter to Doritos to AXE. Some fans did not appreciate the announcements, however"

They forgot "Energizer"
Oh, wait....

There are complaints...?

AngryFork5170d ago

Unfortunately, from noobs who can't take a joke.

This stuff is great, why not heal yourself with Dorito's instead of a plain old Ration?

Not saying it has to have this stuff every game but it's not like there's Axe billboards in the middle of an emotional scene or something, Kojima knows what he's doing.

GiantEnemyCrab5170d ago (Edited 5170d ago )

I thought the article picture was a poor Photoshop job but that is actually from the game!

I thought MGS4 sold well for you Kojima, now you are whoring your game out to Axe, Mountain Dew and noodles??? LMAO

Hoping it's done in his humor. I've learned never to trust a book by its cover when it comes to Kojima games.

mushroomwig5170d ago

Ads inside video games could work, but that all depends on the game itself. It doesn't make any sense for them to be in a Metal Gear game, regardless of it's intention because it draws you away from the game.

It would work perfectly inside games like GTA because it'll make you feel like it's part of the real world.

gtamike1235170d ago

The last best gta was vice city stories ps2

grailly5170d ago

MGS is the kind of game that asks you to put your controller down, or talks about swapping disks. I don't think Kojima cares much about drawing you away lol.

some really good games on that list. some of my favorites (not on the list) are Metal Slug XX, ultimate Ghosts & Goblins, Gradius Collection, Motorstorm Arctic Edge and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters.

Knushwood Butt642d ago

Metal Slug XX is surprisingly good.

isarai642d ago

I get that The Warriors is technically a PS2 game ported over, but damn it's amazing on the PSP

roadkillers641d ago

Dark Mirror was the best. Multiplayer and single player was fantastic

roadkillers641d ago

The Out of Place Artifact - A Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Retrospective

VGChartz's Issa Maki: "Even to fans, the thought that a T-rated game could rank as the greatest is virtually unthinkable; how could the best Metal Gear possibly be a handheld title on a system less powerful than a PlayStation 2? Because it had to be – necessity is the mother of invention. Not only is this a full-fledged Metal Gear, the fresh spin on the gameplay draws from several sources outside of its wheelhouse. Peace Walker somehow manages to be less like its predecessor, Portable Ops, and more akin to Metal Gear Solid V. What boggles the mind is that it would be over five years before The Phantom Pain would release, an entire generation later."
