FirstPlay, Europe's first on-console, interactive show, will launch today in high definition on PS3.
The weekly, subscription based show will be accessible via the PlayStation Network in the UK at launch, and across selected European and PAL territories later this year.

FirstPlay was a subscription-based, Future Publishing-owned heaven of gaming goodness on the PSN, with strong ties to Official Playstation Magazine UK."

This week's episode comes with a PSN-exclusive trial of side-scrolling RTS Swords & Soldiers and Maverick's helmet from Top Gun for your PlayStation Home avatar.
It's very reminiscent of the NXE and how XBL streamlines its media/online into their user interface.
This looks really slick and really feels connected to PSN. Sony really needs to make this sort of thing happen with PSN Premium. XMB looks really dull and doesn't incorporate the feeling of connecting to an online service.
"What's New" was a good step but this looks like a giant leap if Sony can put this in. This is why I'm hyping PSN Premium.
