UK gamers who were hoping for a digital magazine similar to Qore for the US can rejoice. First Play arrives in the UK PSN store on Thursday and is released every Thursday thereafter. The magazine will cost 99 pence per issue, with an option to sign up for a 90 day subscription for £8.99 giving users a 30% saving.
SystemLink: "It's a sad, lonely day as FirstPlay, the long-running digital gaming service which dealt with news, reviews and screenshots, announced it was to shut down. FirstPlay was a subscription-based, Future Publishing-owned heaven of gaming goodness on the PSN, with strong ties to Official Playstation Magazine UK."
