Sonic Unlockable in High Voltage's Tournament of Legends

From The Wiire: "An inside source at High Voltage Software leaked an interesting screenshot from their upcoming Wii fighter, Tournament of Legends.

Taking a page from the Big Book of SEGA Crossovers, the SEGA-published game will slip Sonic the Hedgehog in as an unlockable, playable character."

the funny thing about this is that this probably actually is true

SpoonyRedMage5148d ago

It'd probably improve the game if true.

IanCube5148d ago

Wonder how much it'd cost to license Sonic these days?

Smacktard5146d ago

Confirmed: This game is going to be bad, then.

SinnedNogara5146d ago

That wasn't obvious from the get-go?

Screen is pretty compelling...

It's nice that the people in charge of approving these things do such a great job filtering out the obvious joke articles.

this game looked sooo much better when it was gladiator ad

ChickeyCantor5146d ago

I disagree for some part,

Perhaps the use of colours? I agree.
But the gameplay itself, even though i would have agreed with you before i saw the trailer, this game looks much better than the original.

G.A.D had slow gameplay, the new trailer shows its lots more fast paced.
I guess ill give it a shot before i completely call it rubbish.

Tournament of Legends (Wii) Review

Zach writes: 'The Nintendo Wii. Everybody had one, and due to their current market value – they probably still do. The majority of people never stepped outside of first-party titles or their cardboard sleeved copy of Wii Sports, and that’s a real shame.'.

Was this kid born in 2005?

Someone call his parents and sit him in front of a Genesis. Teach your children people.

Actually I am in my 20's and have gone back and played many of the Sonic games made, personally I find a lot of the older games to be absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original Sonic the Hedgehog. I know a good game when I play it and the games on my list and ones that are truly great and the pinnacle of the Sonic experience.

thepatientgamer2997d ago (Edited 2997d ago )

Well. I guess an opinion is an opinion.

But just because you can't make it through a game doesn't make it bad.

"Classic sonic for life!"

and sorry...I just can't let the "absolutely awful with a particular nod to the original sonic the hedgehog" slide

For me it would be.

1. Sonic Adventure

2. Sonic 2

3. Sonic and Knuckles

4. Sonic 3

5. Sonic the Hedgehog 1991

donwel2997d ago

That's pretty much my list, only I'd put S&K and Sonic 3 at 1 and 2. And maybe drop Adventure for Sonic Chaos for GameGear/Master System, I had so much fun with that game.

Top 10 Sonic The Hedgehog Games

BagoGames

Being a Sonic fan for a majority of my life, I’ve played nearly every Sonic game that’s ever existed. As such, I’ve played each game so many times that I’ve even began collecting them as of recently. Doing so, I’ve had the opportunity to play games I haven’t even looked at in several years.

I’ve never been big on the classic Sonic games, or really anything before 1999 when Sonic Adventure for the SEGA Dreamcast was released, so don’t expect to see anything before then in my list. To celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s 24th anniversary, here are my top 10 favorite Sonic games of all time.
