It HAS to be fake. Think about it logically: If EGM wanted to relaunch with a BANG, they would feature one of the games listed in the bottom left. Gears of War 3, MGS: Rising, or even the new Castlevania would have easily made the cover over Super Street Fighter 4.

If this indeed ISNT a joke, then the editor needs to be fired and this magazine needs to seriously go back to being dead because consumers would rather have any of those other games on the cover.

Gears a great franchise...I hope they spent the time they had on using more of the Unreal engine...Epic has said that the next Gears would blow alot of people away....Hmmmm...I hope the story is not as heavy as Gears2...That whole ( spoiler ) mercy killing of Doms wife and a legendary war hero committing suicide was unnecessary and for me, should NOT be in video games.....Still....They have said no more gears this gen...who knows....

Just cause they might talk about it in EGM doesn't mean that they will have the game out this year. In fact epic games has already said that they have nothing planned for release in 2010, Gears 3 will come out probably spring 2011.
One more thing PS3 has so much momentum right now it would take a hell of alot more than 2 games and a glorified camera to slow them down.

lol @ forza....halo just sucks and gears of war is broken...the only games that are any good on the 360 are mass effect 2 and fable 2...fable 2 is good but mass effect 2 is excellent...u have to be delusional to think any of those games are up to par with uncharted 2, god of war 3 and killzone 2 (those 3 games in my opinion are better than any games on the 360) not including how much fan ratchet and clank is compared to banjo and kazooie loolll

1. Halo does not suck it has a meta of 93 or something for a reason

2. Gears is not broken it has glitches but so does MW2 and that doesn't stop that game from being one of the best MP games ever and neither does it do that for gears.

3. Forza 3 happens to be the best racing sim out there so far, period!

4. Fable 2 was broken yes but still good, not as good as ME2 which shares a meta of 96 with Uncharted 2 and to pit them against each other is impossible because they are so different and yes Mass Effect 2 is that damn good.

5. The PS3 library is more diverse but everything still comes down to preference and that is not universal so stop flaunting your opinion as fact because it's not! pure and simple.

Btw don't even think to call me a 360 fanboy because I like my PS3 more.

What are the chances that MS will announce Gears of War 3 at this years E3?

In my opinion, Epic Games might do something like what Bungie did at last years E3. They might announce a new IP and tease Gears 3 and say that there will be a beta with the game. Well thats how I always imagined it.

To the people who say Gears 2 is a bad game. It really isn't. Its just the multiplayer was not that good when it first launched. But the online in Gears 2 is currently awesome. I barely experience any lag or glitches. The single-player was really good. Lets hope that Epic Games learned from their mistakes and release a beta.
