Kotaku: Heavenly Sword developer Ninja Theory's next game, Enslaved, may offer the most pleasant looking post-apocalyptic environment ever, as new screen shots of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game illustrate.
Sure, the environments in Enslaved definitely look dilapidated enough, but they don't have that post-nuclear feel that its end of the world peers have. Namco Bandai still hasn't dated the game, which is apparently based on the 400-year old novel Journey to the West, one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature-which may explain why the full title of the game is now Enslaved: Odyssey to the West-but it's penciled in for a "fall 2010" window.
That's when you'll enjoy the Hollywood-caliber one-two punch of cut-scene co-directer Andy Serkis of being Gollum fame and "famed novelist and screenwriter," Alex Garland, responsible for 28 Days Later and The Beach.
Enjoy some new screens of Monkey and Trip and their adventures in the wastelands of Enslaved in the gallery below.

GR:
Video games are distilled magic. They're able to transport us to far off places and let us play inside the worlds their creators have imagined for us. But before all of this newfangled technology took over, there was another way to escape into the realm of the fantastical: they're called books, and they're kind of important.
i am dying for a next gen Parasite Eve! This serie has so much potential..
One of my favorite of all time (on PS1).
Nice looking scenery. I'll have to keep an eye on this.
This might be shaping up to be one of those sleeper ones like Dead Space among others that pop up year after year. Not to mention that its fighting system looks similar to Heavenly Swords.
Looking good
Wow just checked the wiki on this title and I must say the plot for it seems interesting enough to make me want to look into it more, as well as these screen shots.
Not sure whether this will be in the final version of the game or not, but it lists both Single Player and Multiplayer on the wiki.
