Mysterious Bioware countdown revealed

The countdown present on Bioware's websites has hit zero, revealing its secrets.

I hate these announcements of announcements, "tomorrow we will announce BIG news for the fans, keep checking back, you won't wanna miss this" ... and then it turns out to be something like free character skins or something. You don't announce that you have a big announcement to count down to unless it's BIG! They could have easily just made the announcement without a precursor and it would've just been boring news nobody paid attention to, instead they try to fool you into thinking it's big news by building it up, then by the time you realize they're full of shît, they don't care, they already got their hits.

the whole countdown thing is only to remind people that they are now 15?? that's SUPER LAME! I'm not expecting ME to be on PS3 or anything like that but at least an announcement of a new game! ...and auction is not a sign of appreciation especially when you are a game dev! at least give some free DLC or something, than THAT's how you appreciate your fans!

The fact that N4G hyped this news so much and there were great expectations, and when the mysterious Bioware countdown got revealed, everyone was disappointed. Of course when you hype something greatly and if does not meet your expectations, you feel disappointed.

Take Obama for example, you people had great expectations for him which were frankly impossible and when he didn't perform to what you expected him to perform, you were angry and disappointed.

This act of human behavior is pathetic.

It's funny that you bring up the president in this. It looks as if he is doing exactly what he planned to do. It didn't happen on the first day. But he still has 3 years left and already has done most of what he promised. He is a PS3!

All in all, the movie itself offers a ton of great characters I could have chosen. I liked Brad's character best but the others were nearly equally awesome.

The opening scene with the delicious milk line still gets me. One of my all time favorite movies.

As with their second game Mass Effect 2, Bioware delivers, once again, another disappointment.

What happened to my Bioware that developed Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, and KOTOR 1/2? Granted Dragon Age: Origins was quite good, Mass Effect 2 is a stray from the RPG roots that Bioware is founded on. Less third person shooter, more RPG please.

ME2 sold 1.61m on the 360 alone, not counting the PC sales. Heavy Rain has yet to break the 1 million mark; stuck on 0.96m

Lets be honest, a countdown timer usually counts down to something important...and ME on the PS3 was important, as was any DLC. A countdown to an auction is not.

And BAM! Bioware just killed the countdown as a hype machine, in a second the whole thing was annihilated. From now on companies going to use a countdown for when they have the next coffe break, what time they get of work etc etc.
