BlackSite: Area 51 trailer - The E3 starts early for Midway

Midway kickstarts E3 and sends Xboxyde the E3 trailer of BlackSite: Area 51, along with 2 new images. It's a good way not to be lost in the middle of hundreds of updates next week.

With Killzone 2 & Turok being rumored for September as well, it's going to be a busy month for FPS fans. These are all games that I'm interested in playing too... although this one is probably last on my list.

Why can't more companies do this, I'm tired of waiting for E3 to start - More companies should jump ship and launch their content early.

It would give them the jump on all the hype that will follow and possibly block out their showing.

So yeah this was a great idea, This way nothing else is in my mind but their game, so for them this is the best thing they could have done.

Problem.. I just wasn't really impressed with it, and if they did it at E3 they might have really been in trouble... because expectations on the show are through the roof....

Never has an E3 been so important and never has it been so anticipated.

This will be a do or die show for Sony (they must impress at this show or PS3 is in trouble)

And this is a proving ground for Microsoft (they have to prove that they are in the gaming industry to win, meaning take no prisoner's and no game says that for them like Halo 3- it must be at the show - one player mode, and it must impress.)

Nintendo is the only company with nothing really to worry about sales right now are higher then expected, they still can't meet demand. (So their show is nothing but a party and more of a reason for them to show what people already know, if you don't have a Wii you really should get one.)

Gaming for Official Use Only: Area 51

Derik Moore of Gaming Rebellion Writes: "Welcome to another Gaming For Official Use Only. I have wanted to cover this topic for a long time, but I really couldn’t decide on which Area 51 game I would cover. There’s the classic light gun arcade game from the 1990’s, and a fairly forgotten FPS reboot from the 2000’s. I spent too much time trying to figure out which I would cover until it hit me: I don’t have to choose. I’ll cover both before going on to probably the most well known conspiracy theory in mainstream media. Let’s start with the awesome light gun game."

Bargain Bin Reviews: Blacksite Area 51 | Entertainment Buddha

EB's Nat Smyth writes, "Blacksite Area 51 piqued my curiosity when I was a new Xbox 360 owner in 2007, and I had seen it on the shelf too many times in visits to my local Gamestop to pass it up, so I finally bought it. What I got when I played it was a dull, lifeless, and somewhat ugly looking first person shooter that didn’t hold up at all next to the recently released Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare."
