Andriasang: Did you think the concept of a "pack-in" would be completely gone with the appearance of download-only platforms like PSP go? Sony and Capcom apparently don't agree.
Monster Hunter World is close to releasing, which means it’s no better time to reminisce and look back at some of the best Monster Hunter games that came before it.
An experienced Monster Hunter veteran looks at the best games in the series, explaining what makes each one so great.
Capcom-unity:
"Did you ever think about how Monster Hunter is a lot like Street Fighter?"
I tried out Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, I LOVED everything except the combat. I think it was the lack of a camera lock on on something like that I just couldn't stand having this gay ass monster jumping over me and having the turn around and find it over and over again. It wasn't bad at first, but it ended up getting really freakin frustrating. I was probably playing it wrong lol.
Why bundle an older version of the game?
Especially when you've just announced a newer version.
The controls were nearly immaculate after I got used to rotating the camera while running, I dunno how else they would have made them for the PSP. I played a ridiculous amount of Freedom Unite on my 1000 model, and it was great. Anyways, as for the PSP Go---
As soon as I saw the Go, I was like "Nope, go back and fix that thing Sony, you can't play MH on it."
You need to have your left index finger on the Left and Right DPad buttons for camera rotation and your thumb on the analog stick. With the Go, that's nearly impossible. People will find this out the hard way though. You can't circle an enemy and keep it in check without being able to rotate the camera as well. The current layout makes this OMFG hard to do.
