and screw this game. They dropped flashpoint and stopped supporting the broken and buggy game. Theres nothing that tells me they wont take your money and run with this one too. Terrible developers as far as Im concerned.

Yup, Codemasters and Ubisoft. I can't get excited for any of their titles. I know if they are bugged at release, they will stay that way.

GRID and DiRT2 were Codemaster's last great games in my opinion.

Too bad though, when they actually put effort into their projects it can be stunning (DiRT2 Maxed 1920x1200 DX11).

Agreed. I love flashpoint no matter how crappy it is lol. The game runs absolutely amazing in my opinion. Maxed out on highest res, with at least 30 FPS constantly. Its just disgusting when a developer destroys their own game like that. They should support every customer, no matter how few there are and take pride in every release, no matter how many sales. Heres to the Flashpoint franchise, RIP. All thanks to CM.

but honestly, there are sooo many FPS coming out right now i'm hardly excited for another one. Didn't platinum games just announce another one too? PC gaming is so repititous.. PC games do nothing to push the industry forward or add any innovation.

OH, hush, If it wern't for console gaming PC wouldn't have any of these great titles being made for it.. I have to admit pc gaming has made a big come back.

no such thing coming from Codemasters. the only game i will ever buy from Codemasters is Dirt. you cant mold s*** into a teddy bear and then try and pass it off as one... my advice keep quiet and let the game flow unnoticed, then BAM! hit em with all the goods 3 months from launch.

Codemasters will never pass up a chance to make a First Person SHOOTER, on the PC!

If it ain't exclusive to either Sony or XBOX, i don't see it being exclusive to consoles only.

I'm not, although I will be interested to see how good it is since the guy in charge can't seem to keep his mouth shut about how unoriginal every other FPS is. Somehow I doubt this game is going to be some revolution in FPS's.

Myself I am interested to see what this shooter will be like, also Jumpgate looks sick and F1 2010 is promising, I mean this is the guys that gave us Dirt 2 and Grid, heck, Codemasters is one of the most proven Racing game devs of the last 10 years, they are up there wil Polyphony and Turn 10 imho.

Don't see anything great about it so far.. sounds like a shooter clone copying different elements from various different games.. if this wants to be successful, then it will need more than to just clone the best bits out of shooters and be able to put them all together in a well presented package, plus with codemasters doing it, i'm even less interested.. OFP2 could have and should been better let down by a lot of bugs which should have never made it into the retail copy.

What is with codemasters these days anyway? First they saw WoW's sales figures and ended up buying a bunch of crap korean mmos.. that obviously failed so now they see MW2 and BC2's success and now want to make a shooting game and try to emulate that success, they'll end up falling flat on their ass.. granted I never played black but it needs more than just one guy to be a successful game.

The reason why this is such big news is because of the work alot of the codemasters guys did on Black. The same guy who made Black what it was is the driving force behind Bodycount. Its a spiritual sequel, and a sequel to Black has been highly anticipated for most of the people that played it. They didnt just up and decide to make it. Stuart Black has wanted to do something like this for a long time. Now he gets to, and hopefully it will live up to being compared to Black. Anyone who has touched the game has praised it. Initial looks put it as better than MW2 or BFBC2. Give it a chance, man.

They are using the awful proprietary EgoEngine, aka Tear-o-rama on ps3. And by the looks, they are using what were left from the ps2 Black textures on this one.

I will never buy another codemasters game period. They dropped the ball on Flashpoint DR rising and ruined the game it once was. They should have never parted with Bohemia. And this crap they are making won't offer anything to gaming. I hope it puts a deeper hole in their pocket.

not offer anything to gaming? The people who made black are going to set a new standard for destruction and how things react in FPSs. Black was way ahead of the curve in destruction when it came out. The only games that have matched it since are Red Faction: Guerilla, and Bad Company 2. The new game is going to have environments more interactive than anything else we've seen (based on what they showed). How is that not offering something to gaming? I dont want to run through a static level, I want to fight in a realistic world. I dont want to shoot a crate and watch it get shot off like a rocket, but have no bullet holes, or reaction other than moving. I want it to react like a crate should. If you dont want that, then I have nothing to say to you, but if you do, give this a chance.

f1 looks ok from ss, so i'll be taking alook.

But atm BFBC2 is the shooter to be playing.

Destruction, sound, multi and sp. Very good game.

I'd expect any FPS player to have it.

from the pics this looks like a pretty fun game. I for one am a wiiii bit sick of FPS games right now. If im going to spend my hard earned cash on another shooter itll be one with some staying power. This game looks like it will vanish within a couple months. My 2 cents
