Codemasters has today confirmed the development of Bodycount, an upcoming FPS that promises to deliver "genre-defining gun play" that comes "alive in an orgy of bullets and destruction". This new IP is in production at Codemasters Guildford studio.
Designed by Creative Director Stuart Black (co-creator and designer of Black, 2006), Bodycount is being created by an all-star development team using the EGO Game Technology Platform, and is scheduled for release in Q1 of 2011.
YouTube’s ‘John GodGames Emus’ and ‘Emulators for PC’ have shared some new videos, showing GUN, Bodycount, The Lord of the Rings: War in the North, Wanted: Weapons of Fate and more running on the latest version of the best Xbox 360 emulator, Xenia.
It may have been all but overlooked at launch, but Bodycount is well worth a look for fans or arcade gaming.
GI - Stuart Black on unfinished projects, the blame culture and going it alone.
Codemasters are the masters when it comes to racing titles, but after operation flashpoint not to sure how this would be! Pics look great though, GRID 2 anybody please please.
It really is Black 2 :P & on the EGO engine OMFG !! i think i just wet myself. :)
No PC Version :/ ??
Does any other company know how to mess up a non-racing game so badly? Scratch that, does any other company know how to mess up a game so badly?
Even their racing games are a bit stale - I was looking forward to FUEL, until I saw how empty and half finished it was! Pacific Rift fills the gap nicely. And for everything else: Burnout Paradise is still excellent.

Thats all i needed to hear..
Black was amazing tbh
Codemasters and "genre-defining gun play" should never be in the same sentence
