Hello Game's Joe Danger Drops XBLA and PC for PSN Exclusivity

GFB writes: "Hello Games has announced via press release that Joe Danger is headed exclusively to the Playstation Network. This contradicts the company's original announcement that the game was being designed for XBLA/PSN/PC via the company's website. Sony approached Hello Games, and the rest is history."

"Sony approached Hello Games, and the rest is history."

This is effectively the same thing, disguised under Sony's PlayStation Network Publishing Fund.

they wont buy 'exclusivity' but they will pay to publish there better version of the game etc in this case they publish if its exclusive

the difference between sony and microsoft
is there both rich men but one is sly a clever (sony
the over is
Rude cunning and blatently dodgy(microsoft)

Sony not buying third party exclusive rights is not a matter of political/moral stance. It's just strategy. How can Sony compete against MS in its own game, Big Cheques Throwing?

It's clear Sony is offering those small devl studios something they cant refuse, in exchange for exclusivity rights. This is not GTA4 and dlc we are talking about. Put the thing in the proper context.

This sucks for people who own 360 and pc who were excited about the games. Fortunately I also have a Ps3!

TOO PAWNED5169d ago

No it doesn't suck. 360 usually gets first DLCs and what not, you don't hear us PS3 fans b1tch like 360 kids do over one game.

GunShotEddy5169d ago

ZOMG. Xbox 360 lost this epic AAA blockbuster... *reads article*. Who cares? Scored another big winner there PS3, lol.

So basically it's a PS3 exclusive, so it was lame to begin with? Come on. An exclusive is an exclusive. And the fact is that more are going to PS3 than 360 now.

hazardman5169d ago

well noted that everytime games become exclusive to one console..the owner of said console all of the sudden never liked the game to begin with. That being said I never heard of this game so I really don't care for it. Also Xbox Live Arcade has plenty of other GREAT exclusives and Sony does too. Honestly what impact is this game going to have on PSN? Now if they had said Castle Crashers 2 or Shadow Complex 2 then that would be a big deal..assuming those games are getting sequels(just an example).

tiamat55169d ago

Yes! Score another one for the PS3. But I would have brought it either way so doesn't matter that much. But still way to go Sony!!!!

dangert125169d ago

atleast you don't take the ms rivalry 2 serious some people on here...lost it

Cajun Chicken5169d ago

I think it was because Trials HD on 360 is a little bit like it and it might of got lost in the list, it's a lot safer as a posterchild on PS3. On the other hand, great to have another Create, Share, Play-like game on PS3. I'll try to snap this one up soon as possible.

What an amazing story, Joe Danger was a fantastic game and hearing about these kinds of stories makes me much happier than hearing adults bicker back and forth about which animations a game is re-using and the amount of pixels on the screen.

This is what gaming is really about and I feel like some people just tend to forget that
