Hands-On Preview: Space Ark - Electronic Theatre

Arkanoid, Rainbow Island, Bust-a-Move, Geometry Wars and Trials HD; these are just some of the widely respected titles thrown about by Strawdog Studios when discussing the games that have influenced Space Ark, and with respect to the impressive character art Electronic Theatre would throw in Animal Crossing to the mix. But while the echoes of each of these – and many more – famous videogame releases can be seen in Space Ark, it plays like none of them. Instead, the game is a culmination of some of the best ideas of 1980's Action-Puzzle gaming, all brought to life with a modern lick-of-paint.

Space Ark - PC Review [NoobFeed]

Daav from NoobFeed.com plays the Pc version of Xbox 360 indie game Space Ark. At least, that's the intention before realizing that Space Ark on PC is actually still Space Ark on Xbox 360, but now on a PC. It's the straightest port possible, menus and all.

CalmDownTom says, "The story behind the game is some completely nuts nonsense about space animals born from eggs that have to collect DNA crystals. Suffice it to say that’s not a great explanation of the story, but its not too likely you will care much."
