MLB 2K10 preview at Sportsgamer Blog

Glen Haag has an advance copy of MLB 2K10, and gives his early impressions of the full game.

Excerpt: "This is not a perfect game. If you're expecting it to be as good as The Show, you'll be setting yourself up for a fall there. What I can say is that the game is greatly improved over last year. You can see that from the demo, but it continues in the full version of the game.

The first thing that I sat down with was the 'My Player' mode. They immediately threw my closer into a AA save situation as his first outing. No spring training or anything like that. You get your two pitches and you get to work.

One thing that I loved about that mode is the speed of the game. Loading times are incredibly fast. You're going game to game in a very short period of time. No huge delays like you can see in the 'Road to the Show' mode from Sony."

IVE been having the game since feb 24 and i love this game its way better then 2k9 and really i think its the best baseball i've played in a long while .its really that good ..i set up my custom sound tracks in the stadium and that really adds to gameplay ..its really sick .they only thing i'm worrying about is the online play ,i haven't got a chance to play it online cuz i dent think the servers are up yet but i'm hoping that i can keep my buttons config in ranked games cuz last years version you couldn't have your pitching in classic mode in ranked games which made me stop playing the game altogether ..cause i got tried of playing the cpu ...but right now i give the game a 9.3 out of 10 ,hope i can give it a 9.6 if i cAN KEEP MY BUTTONS IN RANKED GAMES ONLINE ..

How Accurate Are This Year's Baseball Games?

Andrew Reiner: "Each year, I simulate the season in any baseball game that hits the market. Outside of telling me that the Yankees have a shot at winning the World Series, most simulations are way off the mark. But in a season that doesn't make sense, how close do the games come? Let's take a look to see how accurate Major League Baseball 2K10 and MLB 10: The Show are in their simulations."
