this game looks really fun! Has anybody played the PS3, PC, or Xbox 360 version of Ghostbusters? I wonder how they differ from the Wii version.

CoffeewithChess5192d ago

The Wii version is the only one I've played, and it was fun. I think the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions have some different level designs, and the graphics are more of the realistic approach, instead of the stylized cartoonish look of the Wii version.

the wii version has local co-op. I dont think the ps3/360 version have that.

Also, wii version has motion controls (obviously) and cartoon style graphics instead of realistic ones.

I have the ps3 version but from what i've seen and read the wii version actually looks to be the best/most enjoyable.

It's a pretty fun game that will last you about 10 hours or so.

After watching your video, I watched the PS3 trailer for it and the game does look like fun. I may have to rent this.

CoffeewithChess5191d ago

let you borrow my Wii to try the Wii version, but that won't happen right now.

statfreak5191d ago

Well, seeing how cheap it is, I may jjust end up buying the PS3 version.

The Wii's graphics for this game are horrible! PS3 ownz it!

CoffeewithChess5191d ago

The graphics are not horrible, they're "stylized". I haven't played the PS3 version of the game, but I do know the Wii game controls extremely well and it's a lot of fun playing the game with the controls they have in the Wii version.

readiandnot5191d ago

What do you think of the PS3 version? I'm interested in it.

Saaking5191d ago

It's a fun game. Definitely a rental. The story is good, the gameplay feels like you're really a ghostbuster, and the graphics are nice. If you like the movies, you'll like the game.

CoffeewithChess5191d ago

I agree! Are you talking about the Wii version?
I think Red Fly Studio did a good job implementing the controls for the Wii. They were really interactive when it came to "catching" a ghost.

Definitely worth a rental.
If you're a completionist, and you have a nice sized tv to play it on, the two player mode on the Wii would be great to try through the entire game, so I would probably consider buying it then.

Dude(or dudette?) I don't know anything about the PS3 version other than the trailer.

Click the link to this article, watch Coffee's videos of the Wii version and then compare.

Coffee, I will say the Stay Puft fight looks pretty awesome...even though the graphics don't!

hatchimatchi5190d ago

funny you say that the wii graphics are crap and that the ps3 owns it.

the wii version shouldn't be compared cause it's cartoon styled, not the realistic approach.

Plus, you must have missed the whole debacle concerning the ps3 version of ghostbusters. Tons of details were missing from the game that were in the 360 version. Plus the game has/had some weird bug that wouldn't allow you load saved games. It was pretty embarrassing for the developer because they kept saying that the ps3 was the lead platform, but they released a buggy as hell game that eventually required a huge patch to fix the problems and make the game look better.

in case you're wondering, yes, I own the ps3 version.

"Coffee, I will say the Stay Puft fight looks pretty awesome...even though the graphics don't!"

You might want to make sure you weren't watching any videos for the PSP version of the game.
Again, I thought the Wii version had graphics that were nicely done and the game-play was a lot of fun in the game.

This is the last I'm addressing you hardcorez.

Review - Ghostbuster The Video Game Remastered (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Todd Eggleston: "Ghostbusters The Video Game is nostalgia done right, and puts you right back in 1984. It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."
